Can't complain about these portable SSDs. I use them to back up and store tens of thousands of photos taken by motion-activated trail cameras for wildlife surveys. They work well and are small enough to pack easily in a laptop or camera bag, but not so small that I worry about losing them. I appreciate that they come with both USB-A and USB-C cables for connection with a range of devices.

Pros: Small, sturdy, and reliable. Password protection easy to use once it's set up.
Possible Cons: it needs to be plugged into a higher powered USB C slot or it won't run properly. On newer laptops that's usually not an issue.
Cons: Setting up the password protection required installing software on my computer

The SAMSUNG T7 2TB is a beast of a portable SSD. Lightning-fast transfers, rock-solid build, and zero headaches across Android, Windows, and mini-PC setups. It’s basically a pocket-sized “local hub” that makes moving files instant and painless.
Speeds stay high, it runs cool, and it handles huge folders like nothing. If you’re serious about fast workflow, backups, or cross-device storage, the T7 is the one to get.
Fast, reliable, and worth every dollar.

I use these with my Black Magic 6K Pro. They are slightly wider and thinner than the previous T5 model but so far they are also just as reliable. As far as storage and speed bigger faster better.

I use this everyday to edit many kinds of projects on premiere pro and after effects, more than fast enough and big enough for content creation, Worlds faster than the external hard drive I was running before. Beware after windows formats it, its reads around 1.8 terabytes, not a full 2. This is mostly just a quirk with windows.

Great SSD, can't go wrong with this one. I got it primarily to shoot videos off my phone. Its small size also makes it convenient to carry around in my pocket. Has decent read/write speeds and while the newer T9 is better, you can get this for cheaper for 70-80% of the same performance.
P.S. I added a metal ring that attaches to my magsafe. That way, I don't need to hold on to the SSD while recording stuff.

I’ve been using the Samsung SSD for a few months now, and it’s been a game-changer in terms of speed and reliability. Whether you’re upgrading from a traditional HDD or replacing an older SSD, the performance difference is noticeable right away. Boot times are almost instant, applications load quickly, and file transfers are extremely fast.
Samsung’s SSDs are known for their durability and long lifespan, and this one lives up to that reputation. It also comes with Samsung’s Magician software, which is helpful for monitoring drive health, updating firmware, and optimizing performance.
The only downside is that it’s slightly pricier than some competing brands, but the premium feels justified given the performance and reliability. If you’re looking for a high-quality SSD for gaming, content creation, or general productivity, Samsung is a solid choice.

I’ll start off by saying that you CANNOT run Xbox Series X/S titles from this device. However, you CAN run regular Xbox One games from it. I use it on my new Series X console and I figured out that it’s best to use this to store all of the Xbox One/360 titles on and the next-gen Series X/S on the internal drive. You can, however, store the next-gen titles on here, but again you CANNOT run the next-gen titles form here, only the previous-gen ones. Still a great SSD with good storage, and real-time transfer speeds of about 2.5 Gbps. Solid purchase.

Compact and reliable hard drive that's solid state so no moving parts to worry about. They can be pricey but I like this one so much I bought it twice.

This is a great option to access lots of storage without having to carry extra weight. A USB thumb drive would work too but its flash memory is usually slower than this external SSD drive. Still the read and write speeds of this drive will vary depending on the file sizes and the PC hardware. The biggest downside are the included short cables - they are not flexible enough which can leave this light weight drive hanging on one end.

Advertising industry standard! This is the workhorse external hard drive for the fashion shoot industry. I think I have purchased almost 50 (2) TB ones in 6 years.

Works great! Quick write & transfer speeds! I upgraded to a 4tb external drive from a 2tb… I needs tons of space and like to keep the drives as empty as possible in my computers for peak performance and overall longevity. My 2tb WD Black external drive was full. It didn’t take very long to transfer the data between them, and it all made it out intact.
