One thing that I do love from this player is the upscaling on my blu-ray movies, they look amazing I find myself going back to watch movies that I have just to see that better picture, as far as the uhd 4k blu-ray s there's not a hole lot of them out there yet, but some movies do look great in 4k.

Very nice and easy to use 4K player. I replaced my blu Ray with this player. The cost i good and it is loaded with features. It fits seemlesly with our other components and 4K TV.

This is my first Blu-Ray player and I use it on my first flat-screen TV (4k OLED). I bought the player during a 50% sale, so was a great value for me. First impressions while unboxing were it's light, but feels cheap (plastic). There's a cover for a USB port that loosely snaps into place that bugs me. It randomly falls out strictly from the force of gravity. The remote is nice and compact. Works through glass. I have it connected to my TV over HDMI. Video and sound quality are fantastic. Happy that it has apps on it, but haven't used them (I have them on the TV). I've played an Ultra HD (Mad Max) and standard Blu-Ray (Force Awakens) thus far. There's a clear difference in quality between the two... Ultra HD > Blu-Ray, but I'm very pleased with the Blu-Ray quality. Time to dive into some bargain bins!

This player has now replaced my Oppo 105 reference player. The internal streaming from Netflix & Vudu is extremely fast and the spin up speed for a 4K UHD Blu-ray player is very fast for the first generation of a new player _4K picture is incredible on a properly adjusted 4K TV_ until such time that Panasonic releases their THX certified player this player is a bargain price

Player does play back Blu-Ray, 4k Blu-Ray and 4k DVD and DVD movies just fine. The only issue I have is with remote. The remote has standard play, stop, pause, open/Close, move to next chapter and move to prior chapter. However, it does not have a fast forward or fast backup capability except to move an entire chapter.

I had problems setting this up, there was apparently something wrong with the cable connectors on my Samsung TV that they had to swap out. Once that was swapped out it worked fine. I can't find any controls on the device itself (but my room is dark) so It seems everything's run from the remote which I don't like 'cos if you lose the darn thing.... Also I find the rewind feature annoying. For those times you want to just replay the last few secs (either because you fell asleep or you couldn't catch what was spoken) it jumps back quite a bit to the previous "scene" and you have to wait while it plays 2 or 3 minutes to get to the part you want to review. I have found that once it has rewound to that previous "scene" you can forward it at up to 4x speed but I have to look at the instructions again to see how to just rewind 5 seconds or so. But you know how it is, you've barely received and set up the thing before they ask you to review it so you can tell I'm not fully qualified to give a full and accurate review.

I have the 9000 series Samsumg 4K and 4K content has been the struggle. Watching Mad Max in 4K mad me feel like I was on the Fury Road. Pairing this player with a great 4K tv it will carry you to the gates of Valhalla where you will ride eternal, shiny and chrome.

This 4K Blu Ray is Fantastic. The image when playing a 4K disc is Awesome, it's sharp and the colors really pop!

What a fantastic 4k picture just watched a 4k movie and the Samsung did not disappoint very pleased so far with this 4k blue ray player. Got this for $199.00 on sale go get one.

Amazing images faster machine good work on the curved style

This and a Philips 4k player are the only TRUE native 4k HDR UHD player you can buy as a consumer. You won't be sorry of you pick one of these up. The pre-Christmas price of $200 was a bargain. I love it. Picture is beyond compare.

Awesome quality worth the money, even the regular blu Rays look up scaled

I was not prepared by the quality of the pictures and the vibrant colors. It's a great player and enhances Blu rays and regular DVDs. Seriously, I don't see anyone being disappointed with this unit, even with its modern design .

IF your into movies and want the latest technology then you need to purchase this player. Yes it is expensive. Yes there is an expected release of these players in the fall for Christmas that should drive the prices down. BUT, this is a Samsung, and it does everything you will need it to do. I don't think the price will move too much with this player in the fall. I was driven to buy this one by one simple fact. Why spend hard earned money on a player that works great but only plays Blue Ray and not 3D. Or a player that only plays Blue Ray. Take your money and spend a little bit more and poor it into a player that does it all. You will be happier and in the long run and get more bang for your buck. I had no problem connecting to my Onkyo Reciever and Samsung SUHD TV. Check it out and see what you like.

Bought where purchased or first 4k tv, love our 4k movies!

Bought this 4K DVD player to go with my Samsung 4K SUHD tv and so far everything is perfect. Easy install/set up, upscaling is amazing and 4K movies are jaw dropping to say the least. I'm pretty happy with this purchase so far.

Yes.. this is an old model.. but it truely supports UHD. There are newer models that have better features, but their price points are just so high. I read a lot of negative reviews but when I got this home I was thrilled. If you have the $600+ to pay for the latest and greatest... then go for it. But if you want to watch 4K DVDs and HD DVDs that look great this player does the job well. There is an HDMI out for 4k and a separate HDMI for audio only to support older receivers. I am happy. Solid player. Personally I will wait for any of the newer models to drop in price when this one performs well and simply works. Make sure you set your input to HDR on your TV. If you dont do that it will look poor.. which is what I think a lot of the negative reviewers forgot to do.
