Pros:Excellent 4K HDR performance. Much better than compressed streaming services. The Revanent was much better that blu-ray. Cons: No input detected intermittently with Sony XBR75X940C. Must select 1080P output to let TV do the upscaling for blu-ray.

Easy to set up and easy to use. 4k upscaling is great, I'm watching all my old DVD's and Blu-rays so I can enjoy them in near 4k resolution.

The Samsung - UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player is a very nice addition to your 4K UHD Television. The player was very easy to set up using the step by step tutorial. The picture quality is extremely good. To date I only have one UHD DVD and the picture quality is great. Playing existing Blu-Ray discs also gives a very sharp picture as the player enhances the quality. The player was very easy to sync with my Wi-Fi router. I've used the player to access 4K UHD You Tube Videos. Really Nice!! All in all a very nice player.

The first one I had didnt work well and was loud and kept losing connection. I returned it and got another one. Changed out my HDMI Cords to Monster Cables and It works a lot better only a few times does it have HDMI hand shake issues. Plays every disc I have thrown at it and Looks Awesome on My Sony XBR930D 4K TV.

Really nice picture but I was a little disappointed in the quality of the 4K picture. Didn't seem much better than Blue ray. Maybe it was the movie as it had a lot of dark scenes.

I upgraded from a HD Blu-ray player. Noticeably better picture quality! Smart features are also easier to use. Menu is very straight forward.

Does everything I need it to and has a simple interface and remote. Picture looks great in 4k, you can tell the difference from having a native disk and the higher quality over streaming 4k.

Nice design. Sleek and beautiful. Has HDR upscaling and makes Blu-ray near 4K quality. Normal DVDs look great as well. Has built in apps.

This unit rocks! I previously had a player that upscaled to near 4k but this new Samsung is coded for full 4k. I couldn't be happier with it.

This is the only ultra HD 4K player that has 3D capabilities so it was the one for me. Great picture and easy set up. Spend the extra cash on a good HDMI cable to get the best picture results.

I bought this with my new 4K TV and couldn't be happier. Everything linked up easily and quickly. I wish there were more 4K movies to watch.

Very good player. Easy to operate and navigate. But I'm glad I bought it on sale bc I don't think it's worth what it is at its normal price.

A little pricy but very good over all. Easy to use , great pic and looks good where it is sitting. would highly recommend if you have 4k tv.

I loved this player when I played a 4k disc,the only problem I have is,I have several movies purchased from Vudu and the 4k content doesn't play on the Samsung. I sent a message to Vudu and they said Samsung doesn't support 4k streaming with Vudu. So I'm disappointed with this product.

I have a 4k television, now 4k DVD player, my 4k movies looks so real and beautiful, LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I have waited for the price on this to come down and now it has, $199.99 for this player is a great deal. It has all the cool features built in and is a true 4K player and has upscaleing.

Does everything I needed it to do as a source to a 4K TV. Interfaces nicely to universal remote for easy operation. Set up was error free.

It does not get any better. Play a blue ray or a 4k Ultra HD movie and you will never want to go the movies again. The picture is much better than you will see at the movie theater. It takes some getting used to because the picture is that clear.

The only complaint this far is the remote. It's small and not easily used without looking at it. Also it has no backlight.

The Samsung K3500 has proven to be a pretty fair 4K player, but it seems to have some issues that I recommend someone consider before purchase. First, it's always a challenge to learn a new interface. Since all players use their own proprietary graphics for execution of functions on the TV display, it can be confusing learning a new interface. But the Samsung interface is actually quite intuitive, and relatively easy to navigate. However, the browsing functions for Netflix and similar streaming services use different remote buttons than the disc functions, leading to frequent issues with hitting the wrong button to pause, play and so forth. I would have thought the designers would have made sure the similar, related functions for streaming were the same as those for the disc. Second, I have experienced the player freezing without further functionality until killing the power supply. This is actually a serious issue, and since I've already returned one unit because I believed it was a one-time glitch, now that I'm experiencing the same problem with the brand new replacement player it suggests this is an engineering and design problem. Though killing the power isn't necessarily difficult, it is completely unreasonable for the normal operation of the player. In the last couple of weeks, the problem has occurred twice (though we have admittedly used the player a lot). It had occurred twice on the prior unit before returning it. Third, similar to the player freezing until a reset is done, it has proven unresponsive in the operation of some remote functions. We have had to wait for the functions to execute after sending the remote signal. For example, when pressing the fast forward button, the player would freeze the screen for a few moments before accepting the remote command. This is likely the same problem as previously mentioned, but presented in a different way. Having outlined the negative issues, I have to say some of the functionality is actually easier to use than other players we have used.in the past. And, picture quality is what we had expected. In short, we would give the K3500 mixed reviews. At the discounted price that we paid, it's probably okay. At full price, it certainly isn't worth the price.
