We recently set up the basement of our new house and purchased a 4K television. Even though there is limited availability of 4K movies at this time I am anticipating this will become the norm before long. So we bought tomorrows technology today. The up-charge was nominal. It is a compact component and without any garish display is hardly noticeable on the TV stand. The simple to understand remote and common sense navigation make it perfect for anyone to use.

I bought my first UHD blurry and I was stunned with the picture. The 4K upscale is also better than the other Samsung Model

Picked this up on an open box deal. Price was to good to pass up. Plays blu rays great waiting to upgrade my tv to get a better look at 4k content.

I replaced my Sony Blu-ray with the Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Player and am amazed how much faster the player is. The picture is clearer than I imagined was possible. I am very satisfied with the product so far.

Got this to replace my old BluRay player. Upscaling is great with non HD dvds, easy hookup and configuration

4K movies look stunning, but even my old DVDs upscale to a level I wasn't expecting. Would highly recommend.

Unlike other reviewers, I have experienced no problems with this player. I love it! Very user friendly and basically plug and play! There are some minor adjustments that can be made. But for the most part, you can start enjoying right away. At this point, plenty of people may know about this, but I will still point it out. If you have a pre-2015 4K Samsung, you merely have to run one HDMI to the TV (MHL) and the other to your receiver or soundbar! Enjoy!

Video is amazing; the interface is great and easy to use; the remote is unique, as per top of the line Samsung products. Only problem: there can be a bit of input lag, but other than that, awesome product.

Just waiting for more 4K Blu-ray movies in genres I like to be released to continue to enjoy this great player.

So far it's been a good player. I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't ran a 4k DVD yet but would really like to trying to decide what movie to buy. I hope I get 1 soon.

Of course the number of players for 4K content at this point are somewhat limited (1 from Samsung, 1 From Sony, and 1 from Pioneer Elite), but that said, i am very impressed at the quality of the images, the HDR performance, and the familiar interactions to operate the unit. This is a "Smart hub" device with a lot of imbedded applications, so you'll need a WiFi connection to utilize them, but they setup and operate very well. Great value, and a great image!

Set up was easy and took no time at all. We were excited when the unit finally came out. We also purchased it when it was on sale. So a good deal all around. Sales team was very helpful and knowledgeable

I haven't bought a 4K Television yet because the one I want is far too expensive. But the Black Friday price on this player was too good to resist. And I am happy to report that even on a 1080p TV the quality with a 4K disc is absolutely stunning. The colors are the biggest improvement. So real and vibrant and a huge difference from regular Blu. I couldn't be happier. Every disc whether it's 4K or not looks better than I've ever seen. Awesome product!

I read about this product online and a co-worker has one like this and said it is easy to program and use. I had someone do the initial programming and using it is easy with the touch screen selection.

Good picture easy set up I have no complaints. Probably will buy another one for my bedroom.
