Blu-Rays load very quickly, which I know can annoy some folks if they are slow. There are too many things trying to be smart devices and too many companies trying to have their own app store. I will say there are apps included, but the menu system is 'bleh'. Picture quality is very good and the setup process was very simple. I haven't had any functional issues with the unit.

It was easy to hook up and setup. It makes dvd and blu-ray movies look great!

Great product would recommend it to anyone with a UHD tv with HDR capabilities. It really bring out the best picture quality you can get with HDR and UHD tv sets.

I am very happy that the 4K movies did play. We bought our 55" Samsung 4K curved 3D tv in Dec. 2014, and purchased the Samsung 3D Blu Ray player that had, what we thought was 4K playback but, sadly not true. So now we spend more money( a lot of money ) for this player, so we can watch a 4K movie. It works yeah soo..happy. It is very nice so 5 stars. The picture quality is pretty awesome.

It is a first gen player but Samsung is usually really good about making sure their products are free of defects. Samsung has the best up scaling so even regular blu-rays look better. If you are an early adopter and don't have tons of money then this is the best, really only option, available right now.

Dvd player works great. It was very easy to hook up. Quality was good also.

I got this 4k Samsung 8500 blue ray and it was what I expected. It was still questionable purchase for the price .

We replaced a our seven year old DVD with this product. Picture and Sound are Great! We love the user friendliness.

We just love the sleek look and easy setup, are entertainment center is complete now that we've added a 4K dvd player to compliment our SUHD Samsung TV...sweet!!

I found out at time of purchase from associate that I will have to upgrade my tv to hdr to get full benefit of 4k ultra hd smart blue ray player.i do have a 4k but not hdr.so I guess that's my next future purchase

Read some negative reviews which turned out to be untrue as far as I'm concerned. Easy setup, no problems with playback, and 4K movies look great. I was previously using PS3 for playback and there a positive difference with this unit for standard Bluray, in fact I see little need to purchase more 4K's.

I just started using this player and I only own one 4K movie. It looks great. The 3D movies are awesome!!! More people need to go 3D before they phase these out.

I purchased this product to go with my 3D UHD 65 inch TV. The player plays picture perfect and the 3D effects were totally amazing just like a movie theater, the effects are right out to you. Totally worth the money to have a movie play in perfect harmony with the thousands of dollars spent on the TV.

This dvd right out of the box looks futuristic. It is also a smart Dvd so I go through the internet more through that then my TV. It is super clear. I love it!!!
