Going backwards

The player does what it should do but there are a few things they got wrong. No Netflix button on remote and I can't program one on my universal My Samsung BD-D6700 did not have a disk tray. You just slide the disk in. I don't like disc trays and this player has a disk tray. No digital display. The BD-D6700 had a digital display but not this one. I think they want backwards on this player.

Good blu-ray player, with limitations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Samsung UBD-K8500 is a good Blu-ray player but has some shortcomings as a streaming device. Specifically, streaming Netflix, Starz or Amazon works well enough after waiting for Wi-Fi to sync, but does not do a good job of moving through content fast forward or reverse. There is no view of content being repositioned nor are there any shortcuts like moving moving forward or backward by intervals, e.g., 10 seconds. Other streaming devices do a much better job.

The only choice for 4K...Literally
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At the time I purchased this it was literally the ONLY Blu ray player out there that actually plays 4K Blu Ray (but be fooled but the one that only upscale normal blu Rays to "4K"...they but 1080p yes, but it's not real 4K like this one). Anyway this is the only way I can get a 4K image but you know what? As expensive as it was, it was worth it to FINALLY see a REAL, TRUE 4K film on my screen. And with more 4K blu Rays coming out I'm bound to have more to watch soon...

802.11ac For The Win

The primary purpose was for its 802.11ac WI-FI which allows my streaming like Netflix to give me the HD quality I am paying for. My previous player had 802.11n and was constantly buffering and always played in lower resolution.

So far Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the new Jason Bourne movie and played it on Samsung 4K blue ray player onto my new Sony 75 inch 4K tv and lots of sound made it great. I am not a big Samsung fan but this is the only player available to play 4K disc and was pleasantly surprised as the picture and sound was stunning
