At first I thought my husband was out of his mind when he told me the price...but it was a Christmas gift for him.I had to give it to him early as you had lowered the price after I purchased this product.As we we're going to return it and repurchase it at the after black Friday sale....but to our disbelief it was unreturnable even thought it was closed and purchased for a Christmas gift.15 days for a closed box return is crazy.Wont do it again.

I bought this Blu-Ray due to the fact that my old Panasonic took so long to load and play Blu-Rays. I wanted to get the newest technology, so that I could play 4K. However, I still have my plasma tv, so until I eventually buy an OLED, I will not know exactly how good the picture will be. I do have one complaint with this new product. When I put a movie on hold for more than about 15 or 20 minutes, then restart, it seems to lose the place I had stopped the movie at. I did not have this problem with my old Blu-Ray. So if anyone knows the fix for this, please let me know.

The picture is clear , easy to use, the best player ever

Ok, the good... It integrates well with the Samsung TV that we have. It was relatively easy to set up. I like that it has status lights on the player so that you can see if it is actually on or not. (Looking at you BD-J5700/ZA!) The picture quality is excellent, and we like the integrated Apps for streaming. The bad... About 2 weeks after we began using it, the BluRays that we were watching began freezing. These were multiple brand new discs without scratches. It was very annoying. And then, ended up being on chat support with Samsung for a couple hours. Eventually, they had me pull the plug on it for a minute (classic reboot, the last straw of IT support when they don't know what is going on). That seemed to clear the issue up for a few days before the freezing started happening again (but less frequently) and an extremely odd issue where the status light quickly flipped between red/green. I pulled the plug again, and it currently seems to be working fine. But, since Christmas Break is over, we're not watching as many movies. (Yes, we are running on the latest firmware.) I'm not sure if we just got a lemon or if the issues are systemic with this model. Without a clear answer to our issues, I can only give this player 3 stars and would not recommend it.

Easy set up, and great performance. Supports 4K HDR, and Dolby Atmos. I have it paired with a HW-N940 7.1.4 sound bar and a Q9 TV. Everything works well.

Top of the line player that integrates well within the Samsung environment. Also looks very sharp! Highly recommended. Only downside is the price, which is more than other players but worth it.

I did a great deal of reading reviews before I settled on this particular 4k player. Since I was interested in output quality over cosmetic appearance I didn't let the fact that most reviewers were disappointed that it has a plastic housing for its price range. The wireless setup was fast. No problems with streaming. My router is approximately 20 ft. from the box. Plenty of apps to chose from. 4k display is excellent which is what I was looking for. I have it connected to my 4k Samsung and the visual experience is great even though my TV isn't OLED. I researched other brands before choosing this one. I had even considered the less expensive 8500 model number from Samsung but held out a little longer to get this one. As of this review I have not had a chance to do a on the spot comparison with another brand so I can only relate to this model.

Very happy with the Samsung 4k ultra dvd player. I have played 4k movies and they look great. Like the slim look of the player as well

I upgraded from last years 8500 model to the 9500 based on Sound and Vision review. Streaming Movies with no issues and Excellent standard and 4k movie unit. Highly Recommended!

One word sums up this 4K DVD player... AWESOME! I recently purchased a Samsung 4K TV for the den and wanted a player as well. This is the second 9500 I have purchased in 9 months. The first one was purchased when I upgraded the family room TV from a 4K 65" to a 75" screen. The 65" we moved and mounted in our mastered room, along with a 8500 player. Aside from that, we love the Samsung 4K players, in fact, either version 9500 or 8500 does the job, giving a crystal clear, colorful detailed picture!!!!

I love Samsung products. I bought this on black Friday sale. Five days later it was cheaper and because I bought it online they had to do a return then resale. I didn't have to bring the player to the store for this transaction.

After much research and reading other people’s reviews, I have come to the conclusion that this player is the best of them all, so I bought one and have not been disappointed with it. It also helps that my TV is Samsung, which made setup a snap since you don’t need to enter a code to get them to cooperate with each other. I love that I can access all my streaming apps directly through the BD player. My biggest complaint is the remote control, much like its TV counterpart, is much too small for my very large hands. I would’ve splurged for a larger one, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I would still recommend this for those looking for a quality, high end BD player.

This blu-ray 4K player enhances my old 2015 Samsung 4K Television's picture. Dvds, Blu-Rays, and especially Ultra 4K discs look so much clearer than my old Sony (near 4K) player. Streaming also has a beautiful picture.

I purchased a Samsung UHD TV last year but was still using a high end player limited to 1080p. When the price dropped on this player, I purchased it. Installation was easy since my AVR can pass 4K, and I can use the remote for this unit to also control the TV. I have only purchased a couple of 4K discs so far but even the upscaling of Bluray and standard DVDs is impressive. I expect I will be purchasing more 4K discs soon.

Easy to setup - especially with a Samsung TV. Loads fast. Super picture. Does the job well.

I’ve been waiting for this to go on sale. Was not disappointed. Great price and crystal clear picture. It was my Christmas present to me! Would recommend to anyone with a 4K tv.

Bought this top line Blu-ray player to replace my old Samsung player. Glad I did and got it at a bargain price! Easy set up, seamless transition from old to new player, instant interface with my Samsung HD TV. Works great and upscales old DVDs really nicely. Only negative (slight) is there is no 3D support. But - 3D is going away anyway and my 3D Blu-ray DVDs look fine in 2D. Suggest you buy it.

I have this going to my Nakamichi 7.2.4 which does HDMI to the 82" Samsung Q9FN tv Pros: + Excellent 4k video quality + Allows unprocessed audio pass-through for my subwoofer to take care of. + very fast to load discs Cons: - cannot seem to self-update. Have to manually check for updates on laptop. Same problem with the TV so I guess that's Samsung for ya.

This is the best player i had from Samsung and i own over 12 players from the company, picture are super clear and works fast, also updates are great with new apps
