Works great. Excellent picture, wifi, Bluetooth, internet apps, sound!

I had the K8500 before purchasing this UHD Blu-ray player. The picture was a definitive improvement over the previous years model. After I first got the player I had a couple movies drop picture for a second and then come back in. It appears a firmware update has fixed this. I would add a fifth star for Dolby Vision support, but seeing as how Samsung is pushing HDR10+ I doubt that it will ever happen. In short, great player and well worth the money if you have a good 4k hdr tv.

My review is mixed for a few reasons. First I didn't like that the flagship 4k player isn't 3D able. Now the big one for me. I hooked it up and it walked me through set up. So far so good. I hooked it up to a flagship 55" curved screen Samsung 4K TV bought brand new in 2014. This is where I discovered that my Samsung 4K TV will not play 4K material with my brand new Samsung 4K DVD player! All because of something called HDCP 2.2. It is basically a copy protection technology. I was a bit miffed about this. You can spend @ $350 for a new One Connect box that Samsung hasn't produced since 2016 or buy another TV. So the player is a good player but this experience has me thinking about other name brands.

I love to watch moves with the family, and because of the fact that my eyesight is not the best, even standard Blu-Ray players appear blurry to me; however, when I play movies on this 4K Ultra HD player, I can see clearly now, the blur is gone. Also, my son's name is Rey, which is similar to Blu-Ray, so I love it even more.

Just wanted a 4K Blu-Ray player and this was on sale at the time I was looking and seemed like a decent unit but with a lot of features that I'm not sure I'll ever use but you never know. Used to be you went to the store picked out one you heard worked good took it home plugged it in put your DVD in and watched the movie. Now its update this, that and the other thing and hope things work. Picture quality is nice and sound so things must be okay.

I purchased this unit in order to view and to enjoy 4K video on our 4K TV. The first player froze and would no longer function; Best Buy replaced it with no issues. The unit has worked fine since then with no real issues, although it would not play my copies of Star Trek: Discovery Season 2. Research showed that that could be an issue with other Blu-ray discs as well. Buyer be warned!

The Samsung-UBD-M9500 Streaming 4K Ultra HD WI-FI Built-in Blu-Ray Player is the best. The depth of color is so beautiful and rich.

I was pleasantly surprised with this player. The HDR on this player is top notch. If you have a surround sound receiver setup, this player shines. The sound that comes through all speakers, especially the Atmos speakers, sounds superb. Pick you up one of these players if you are serious about surround sound.

At first I was hesitant about the price of the product, then, after I got the product, opened it up and tried it for the first time, I knew the buy was definitely worth the cost. It is very efficient, easy to use, and reliable, definitely offers the entertainment you are looking forward to have at home.

I can stream Netflix and watch a whole multitude of shows and movies in ultra HD audio and video!! Listen to all of my pandora radio stations, access you tube and more!! It's awesome

I purchased this 4k DVD player after returning a LG UBKC90 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player with Dolby Vision from Costco that did not play a 4K DVD Disk without locking up repeatedly. The Samsung UDB-M9500 works flawlessly! It also streams movies beautifully and upscales standard an Blue Ray DVDs flawlessly.

I was skeptical to spend this much on a 4K player, but so far it is worth it. Great tech and apps built in. The bluetooth is something I have always hoped for, especially since I can use my headphones. The upscaling is great, makes me glad I dont have to frequently repurchase movies to accomodate to current technology.
