TERIBLE viewing angle and colors/blacks washed out

The black reproduction and colors when playing movies is atrocius. My biggest complaint is the viewing angle. I can LITERALLY not look at this monitor from any distance or angle and not have the edges be black. I was using a nice $200 Acer 1080p monitor before and it is much better than this monitor, 4k be damned. I got this oin sale for $250 and I am going to return it and try the LG 27UD68 I have a brand new gaming rig (GTX 1060)

Good omintor just not UHD
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This monitor is okay as long as you don’t use the UHD settings. If you do, then it becomes unusable. Text is almost impossible to read due to the lack of contrast. The pixels on my laptop are smaller and perfectly legible, but on the monitor they are fuzzy due to low contrast. Adjusting does not work and i tried all of the recommended ‘fixes’. The only fix is to drop the resolution down a notch. So i paid a UHD price and did not get a UHD monitor.

Don't Waste Your Time!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you use this monitor for more than watching TV, you're going to be frustrated... it does not work at 4k 60hz, period.... You will notice a lag between when you move the mouse and when the cursor moves on the computer screen. I returned it Samsung under warranty for repair... still no luck and lot of money wasted on a new graphics card, cables and time wasted trying to trouble shoot the issue. Buy something else.

Horrible image quality

Read the product description carefully. This is a TN panel. NOT an IPS. I'm returning this unit and buying something else. I recommend staying away from this particular SKU.

Great except for one glaring issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this monitor is impressive, except for one big deal breaker, a large portion of the right side of the screen has a yellow cast. I returned the first one, the second had the same problem. Bummer. I ended up with a Dell IPS 2K HD and am pleased, at this size you would be hard pressed to tell the difference in resolution.

VESA MOUNT AREA IS HORRIBLE!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Part of this blame goes to BestBuy for not showing enough images of this product, that is, the rear. The VESA attachment is at the top center on the back of the monitor. I attached it to my desk arm and it's bottom heavy so that the monitor slouches toward the floor. Also, the attachments for the monitor are right in the middle - exactly where the VESA attachment area should be to balance the monitor.

It's 4K but that's all.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This monitor is affordable, and that explains why the color reproduction is so awful, everything looked faded and dull. With it's default settings you will notice right away the colors are way off, and look terrible. It may be a 4K resolution but that is all. After messing with the settings to get better blacks and more realistic colors, I decided to return this monitor after realizing it is not an IPS display. IPS displays have better viewing angles and better color reproduction.

Unbox product before taking home

It also failed to auto sense the correct input. Thought it could be a cable, an adapter, even the computer. I changed everything out--just a bad product out of the box and a HUGE waste of time.

As a Mac Extended Display, PASS
