It's really easy to set up and very helpful to use.

This product does not work, no matter what I tried. I tried to troubleshoot online and other people have the same issue as me. Waste of money for something that doesn’t work.

Save your money. I bought this thinking that it would allow some level of interaction with my washer and dryer. Does nothing other than tell you your cycle is done.

I bought this item with the idea of controlling the cycles from remote. It is only good for monitoring the washer operation, not for controlling.

I'm using this dongle with a Samsung Fridge/Freezer, model RF23M8070SR. The dongle does everything I expected, which isn't all that much, but now Alexa can tell me what the temperature is in the freezer or refrigerator, she might also be able to do other things that the Samsung Smart Home app can do (turn off icemaker, etc) but I need to play around with it more. Setup went fine, luckily I'd read some reviews that said to switch to airplane mode on your phone (Nexus 6) - which I had to do before it would find my wifi network. Connecting to Alexa was easy, I just enabled the Samsung Smart Home skills, I tried discovering the device in the alexa app but it couldn't find the fridge. Seems it works fine with just the skill enabled. It would be handy if Alexa could tell me if the fridge door was open, but it doesn't seem to. I give it 4 stars because it does what I expected, but it should do more for the price.

I was so looking forward to using tis but after I already bought it I was notified that it was discontinued. Disappointed.

Best Buy was unable to fulfill this order. So they ended up canceling this order on their own. And gave me a refund.

It's a pretty straightforward device. Just plug it into your dryer (I had a Samsung 14 Cycle Electric Dryer, Model DV50K7500EV), install the Samsung Smart Home app and then follow the instructions on screen for adding the washer/dryer. I had some issues when I added my dryer for the first time. The smart home app told me that there was a problem with my dryer's wifi connection and gave me some unhelpful advice about my internet connection. I removed the dryer and added it back again, and it magically worked the second time around.

This adapter is not compatible with modern routers (5G wi-fi). In most cases one will not be able to connect it to the internet. Probably one can find a way around that issue but he/she has to posses at least BS in computer science as there is no help from Samsung support on this one.

The Smart Home Adapter has been very useful and efficient! Our washing machine & dryer were both located in the basement, so this adapter came in handy when I needed to know when my clothes were finished.

These seem to work as they should, they connect to the router. However, we don't get the benefit of having these because the Samsung Smart Home app is absolutely terrible. At first I was getting notifications when my loads were done but I'd have to make sure to open the Samsung app on my phone or I'd never get a notification. Now, it only tells me when a door is open or something and never when a load is done nor does it tell me how much time is left anymore. Samsung needs to work on their Smart Home app so that these adapters actually do their job!!

This Samsung Smart Home adapter works excellent with our new Samsung Add Wash 5.0 cu ft washer & matching 7.5 cu ft dryer (in Black Stainless Steel). Works very well with the Smart Home app on my Galaxy phone
