Great Printer

This Printer is fantastic. However, it does seem to drop the wireless connection from time to time. I'm still trying to determine if it's my error or not (it probably is). Otherwise this is everything you can ask for in a printer, and you can't beat the price.

The printer has good capabilities but some of the settings are confusing and we were unable to get the Samsung printing app to work with it but overall, we're happy with it.

Very hard interface to use. You have to go through a lot of screen to copy. Does NOT print ledger/legal. Does print fast, clear documents. Has wifi issues. Never shows up in the mobile print.

I LOVE this printer!! It's absolutely amazing! And the starter tone lasts a very long time. Both the color and black/white printing are so crisp, and the colors are so vibrant. It's such a great printer, that my mom just bought one too!

This is our 1st Color Laser Printer ... you cannot even compare it to an InkJet. I bought this printer because it was on Sale, but I'd gladly pay FULL Price, as a gift.
Never going back to InkJet or Black & White again!!!

Perfect if you don't need to print wirelessly

If you have a dualband router, forget this printer. It won't print wirelessly unless you disable the dualband which of course is not a workable solution. Additionally, Samsung "tech support" will waste an hour of your time before they tell you that. Do yourself a favor and buy another printer.

Poor Value Due to Samsung Ink Policy

Overall, the SL-c1860fw is a nice printer with a great feature set. Print and scan quality is very good. For the first 12 months, I was happy with my purchase.
However, in mid-2016, the generic after-market toner cartridges that I had been using for several months suddenly stopped working and the printer displayed an "Incompatible Toner Cartridge" error message. After some research and communications with Samsung's tech support, I learned that Samsung apparently updated their printers so they will no longer accept generic toner cartridges. Customers are now forced to buy genuine Samsung toner at three times the price. If you buy this printer, be aware that you'll now be spending around $350.00 every time you replace a set of toner.

Terrible printer and even worse customer service

Do not buy this printer, or any Samsung product for that matter. I am a small business owner and this printer has wreaked havoc on my business. The scanner works poorly and often requires multiple attempts for a successful scan. And the printer frequently simply refuses to work, despite changing toners and rebooting the printer.
I made a dozen phone calls to Samsung in an effort to resolve this matter. My complaints were completely ignored. Eventually, my complaints were elevated to the "Executive Customer Care Team." Don't let the fancy name confuse you as they never even had the decency to call me back. When I made a warranty claim, Samsung lied about the terms of the warranty and told me my only option was repair. This is simply not true. To date, Samsung is not honoring the terms of its written warranty.
Even worse, the printer will not work unless you use the most expensive toner, which just happens to be produced by Samsung.
The low price may seem attractive, but trust me, you will lose money due to poor performance and waste time waiting to be treated like a human being by their customer service department.

I had high hopes ... dashed. Terrible printer.

For the price, I was really hoping this printer would have lasted and worked out longer than two years. Right out of the box, there were problems connecting the WiFi printing to my MacBook Pro. The CD install directions are shady at best. Somehow I got it to work, I don't even know how. So All is good for a year. Then I change out all of the ink cartridges and everything starts to fail. Constantly says I need to replace the imaging drum, but I don't really. No longer connects WiFi printing, I have to use USB to get anything done. Constantly paper jams. Pretty much every 10 tries to print it jams, then finally by some luck it will print. This printer does NOT handle card stock or even slightly thick paper very well. Image quality has been terrible since the start, it's super light. You have to set all the density levels to dark, and that barely makes a difference. The printer also does not remember your settings, so you have to redo every time. I'm buying a new color laser, all in one printer again today because this Samsung is completely failing. I like their TV's but never going with their printers ever again. Terrible.

The setup went easily and was on network within 20 minutes. This is my second printer as the first had some issue with the toner overflow sensor not working and had to return the printer. Best Buy handled the problem quickly and courteously.

I had this and it broke down after 2 year. Error A1-4111. I will not expect only 2 year like for this beast.

Between the ridiculously high ink prices(Samsung), and the constant wifi drops, this is one of the worst printers I've ever owned...
