I saw the original series on DVD way back in the early 2000's and did not remember how much it was digitally animated. Seeing it again with a good transfer made it beautiful to watch. I encourage everyone to check it out. While it is a lot slower than the Kurosawa film it is still quite entertaining. Like all Anime it has its flights of fancy and over done details. It was worth it to pick it up on Bluray.

This anime adaptation of the 1957 film The Seven Samurai and its western adaptation The Magnificent Seven is great and I recommend to those whom love samurai films.

Anime fans will appreciate this story line. Lots of great animation, action, and thought provoking.

I was kept interested and was fascinated with the plot. In a way like the world today.

One of my favorite anime series in blu-ray, remastered, and amazing. Great story artwork.

A fun watch but the visuals seem more like slightly upgraded DVD visuals, but owning the whole series in 3 discs is great.

An interesting adaptation of Kurosawa's original Seven Samurai. It blends the elements of 16th century farming with a not-so-clean future world. Again bandits come to steal from the farmers but this time the bandits are giant robotic ships. The seven samurai aren't all 100% human.

This is truly one of the greatest anime series of all time. It's Seven Samurai kicked up a notch.

Awesome anime, must have for any anime collection.
