I bought this to put Windows Virtual Machine on it. But Crystal Disk Mark shows it is less than 260 MB/s Read and 240 MB/s Write speeds. I only got 198 MB/s Read and 193 MB/s Write.

The maximum write speed that I got on my Mac is 90 MB per second, but it should be upto 240 MB per second. In my Dell laptop the highest write speed was 60 MB per second. The average speed that I got is 30 MB per second. Although the speed is faster than other flash drive the speed should be at least 150 to 200 MB per second.

I normally back up our client files to a thumb drive and then store the thumb drive at home. I'm talking about 80-100 GB of documents, pdf files, pictures, short videos, audio files, etc. This usually takes 2-4 hours. Today I used the SanDisk Extreme Pro USB 3.0 Flash Drive (128 GB) and it took 10 minutes! I then backed up my personal pictures and it only took 10 minutes as well!!! I am not a tech wiz. I looked into buying an external SSD for this monthly back-up but at these prices I will stick with the thumb drive/ flash drive.
