This backup drive is very lightweight, seems pretty resistant to damage, and it's fast. I can't go back to the old type now. Even though this one is considerably more expensive, it's worth it.

You should investigate transfer speeds if you aren't sure what your computer or laptop can handle. This thing is capable of 20 Gbps! I have a Microsoft Surface Book 2, and I checked it out, as well as the Surface Book 3, and both of them don't even have the up to date descriptions of the data ports. And I was looking on Microsoft's website even! I'll try to explain but you might do better researching for yourself anyway. But basically, the fastest you'll get out of a Surface Book 2 is going to be 5 Gbps, and the fastest you'll get from a Surface Book 3 is 10 Gbps. Anything that is USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 2, is now USB 3.2 (Gen 1), or SuperSpeed 5 Gbps. Anything that is USB 3.1 or USB 3.1 Gen 2, is now USB 3.2 (Gen 2), or SuperSpeed 10 Gbps. And both of those can be USB-A or USB-C ports. The next one can only be USB-C and has to be that on both ends. But anything that was USB 3.2, is now USB 3.2 (Gen 2x2), or SuperSpeed 20 Gbps. Beyond that, anything that is USB4 Gen 2x2, is now considered USB4 20Gbps. And anything that is USB4 Gen 3x2, is now considered USB4 40 Gbps. You can see why you might want to research this stuff yourself just to be sure, lol. Needless to say though, if your machine won't be able to transfer as quick as this thing will allow, you will at least have something that you can be sure won't be obsolete this time next year.

I bought this for extended storage on my PS5. Might be a little excessive but the capacity is great. This is small. I have not bought an external drive in probably 10 years. Price is up there. Its a good hard drive though. Fast and efficient. Would recommend buy on sale or wait unless you can afford it. In the mean time this works for all things PS4 that you want on your PS5.

This little drive is flawless! I use it with my MacBook Pro (Apple M1 Pro) and it’s just as fast, if not faster, than the built in SSD, which makes video and photo editing fantastic! It’s lightweight, fast, and reliable!

I love the security lock feature so even if someone steals it they can't use my valuable data that I created with my very important mind without knowing my password. I also don't have to suffer the delays sometimes associated with cloud storage when I change or add devices. About to replace my Samsung 0.5 Tb SSD with a 4TB SanDisk. They run a little warm, but it's great for warming my fingers in the field, and my 2TB SanDisk had plenty of storage space for the entire English's not simple Wikipedia, not to mention all the other Wiki's associated with Wikipedia.

I give this a 5 star! I love this product because it's small and it carry a lot of memory. I'm a photographer and it's easy to pack and I can fit it in small pocket so it doesn't congested my bag. I'm so use to the bulky Hard drives:
