Great hard drive

A little disappointed...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After reading the reviews for this item I purchased it as a gift for my husband for Christmas. He has an Iphone that is full and he can't take any more photos. After repeated failures at getting the photos off his phone this little device looked like the answer. However, on getting it I realized you have to download an app in order for it to work. Well, here is the kicker - the app requires 58MB of memory space and my husband does not have enough memory to download this app. Kind of a catch 22 - we need this to get photos off of his phone because he has used all the memory but the device requires memory for the app. Pretty frustrated at this point. I thought I would just be able to plug it into my husbands phone and the photos would copy to it. Oh, well, I suppose we are going to have to go in and delete a bunch of photos...truly disappointing.
