A good general purpose ssd drive. It is no nvme speed burner, but much faster than a standard mechanical hard drive. Great for your OS boot up and frequently used programs and aapps.

Bought this as an inexpensive SSD to replace a mechanical hard drive in an old thinkpad T61 laptop which was too slow to get anything done on it. Now its quick and responsive again and the price wasnt too bad either. Good budget SSD

This SSD from Sandisk seems to meet all of the manufacturer claims and has not slowed yet even after being filled 60-70% with games and programs. Booting into Windows 10 is very fast and programs load nearly instantly. Included software is pretty good, too. Due to the TLC memory and small size for its category I would price shop with other models because it doesn't have any uniquely great characteristics other than being from one of the best OEMs.

So with the 4.5fw update the PS4 Pro supports external storage. I purchased this 240gb SSD & replaced my standard internal 2TB drive with it for the speed boost. Now I simply move games I'm currently playing from my external over to the faster internal drive when I want to play them. Saves me waiting on a lengthy download time & I don't need to spend insane amounts of money buying a bigger SSD but get all of that sweet sweet SSD performance!

Bought for a new PC build. This has made Windows 10 boot in less than 9 seconds. Excellent addition and bought as a Daily Deal. I run my OS off of this SSD and have an HDD for my larger media files and seldom used files. I cannot find a negative to this SSD. If you're new to SSDs like i was, make sure you purchase an adapter 3.5 inch bay to 2.5inch adapter so that it fits nice in a case that only holds traditional 3.5 HDDs

I have purchased many of these model SSD's and have had ZERO issues. They run great with excellent performance. Perfect to speed your old computer if it has a standard SATA drive

This hard drive is 1 of the best purchases I have made for my computer. It is so fast and reliable. infact, I have told everyone about the SSD and have replaced the IDE/SATA drives with SSD in over 25 computers for friends and family. I Highly reccomend purchasing this SSD if you want a screaming fast computer with 7 second boot times from Post to Desktop.

I installed this on a Apple Macbook White from 2010; it fit fine, initialized no problem in Mac OS X and I have not had any issues with it. As one would expect; it gave the laptop, a nice boost over the stock mechanical hard drive. Compared to the other SSD drives I have owned; the enclosure seemed cheap with some plastic materials and light as a feather, compared to my old Intel 520 SSD. Good bang for the buck; we will see, how long it lasts.

As the headline suggests, this SSD is helping to revitalize a very old Dell Studio 1735 that is running Windows 10 Pro version 1909 with all updates and patches. The SSD took the place of a Western Digital 500 GB HDD. Boot time is obviously dramatically improved and I'm looking to keep this laptop going for at least another few years. SanDisk, as usual, is kicking butt!

It hooked up really easily. I had to buy one of those expansion bars so it would fit in my hard drive bay, but otherwise it was no trouble. After a fresh install (I didn't want to mirror my old drive) it worked wonderfully. And it's so fast. My computer has accidentally booted into my other drive a few times and the difference in load times is huge.

My first solid-state drive was "only" 64 gigabytes and that that time, I didn't use it to store any data – only Windows, and what ever programs I needed. It was an inexpensive either but it made such a huge different when it came to booting up the computer because it made it so much faster to access the program, etc. I went to Best Buy to get other things in this one was on sale so cheaply that I had to grab one. Just you know – it doesn't come with any hardware to install – no cable, no screws – anything at all just the plain drive in the package. You really do have to know how to put together a computer to install a drive. Not only that you have to physically install it, you may have to format it, too. Go to "my computer" icon and right-click and go to "manage" and choose "disk management" if you drive does not appear when you put up your system. (I'm talking about if you want to use this as a data drive.) If you want to use this as your system drive, you will actually have to clone your old hard drive onto this one, or to install a fresh copy of Windows on this blank drive which could be quite complicated for a beginner as you may have to change your bio setting so you can boot from a DVD disc or a USB thumb drive with the Windows 10 set up files that you can download freely from Microsoft website. So it is a very good buy!

I've used several of these drives as a replacement for older spinning disks. They've all been excellent devices and definitely make a tired, older laptop run much quicker.

I needed to rebuild an old laptop for my kids, and this one fit the bill. Great size and great price. Very snappy performance. Gave the laptop new life. Definitely recommend. Laptop has been in almost daily use for two years, and the drive is still humming along nicely.

I replaced a faulty hard drive with this one on an HP ProBook 430 G2 celeron laptop. Everything went smoothly. Works as expected. Boot time is much faster than before since this is an SDD. I re-installed windows on this new SDD. I was able to use the tray (it is actually a thin metal piece) from the existing hard drive to install this one. So nothing additional was needed. So far working fine.

The Sandisk SSD is easy to install and super quiet. If you've used HDD disks up till now, you should change to SSD to get faster bootups, faster access to your data, and quiet operations. The only drawback is the size of SSD's. They're slowly catching up to HDD sizes but if you use a lot of online storage like Dropbox or Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, you can get a lot of work done with just 256GB of storage.

I bought this ssd to replace my dying (I assume) SATA drive. With my prior drive, boot times became increasingly long, almost an hour. Now my system boots in seconds.

After a previous SSD in my Mac Mini went dead I replaced it with this SanDisk unit. It's been in operation now for a bit over a month and is working as expected. Definitely recommend replacing an HDD with this. the MacMini is being used mainly as a file and media server and is working perfect for that purpose.
