My new laptop does not have a cd rom, that I was used to storing info and loading new programs onto my hard drive so I use thumb drives and it works great I can go right to the file I am looking for.

Always a good purchase if you need to take material with you but back it up. Not because I had a problem with this, it is just a good idea.

I had purchase the a PNY 256 usb last year. I used it a back for my documents and pictures. It literally took a week to copy everything. This Sandisk did it in a few hours.

I use this to backup travel photos on the road. I shoot in RAW format so I can fill up a camera card. This gives me peace of mind that my photos are backed up on extended trips. Has been a reliable companion.

I have had no problems with the SanDisk - Ultra 256GB USB 3.0 Type A Flash. I was actually amazed at how fast I was able to copy all of my pictures to it. I highly recommend it.
