I wrote a live Manjaro Linux image on it and my PC could not boot from it. It also gets hot if left on the PC for extended periods of time. It's the only flash drive I have that over-volts when attached to a USB 3 Port.

The data transfer is SO much faster... Just look for a good sale if the cost is too high - they're discounted all the time. Worth every penny!

Multiple files, (1732 files, 148 subfolder, 1.1GB) - 53 secs - started at 60MBps but then dipped when small files were encountered. That's normal. Read:: Single file, 2GB - 30secs - started at 65MBps but that was max. Dipped till 45MBps Multiple files, (1732 files, 148 subfolder, 1.1GB) - 20 secs. Reading speed for small files is fantastic. Started and stayed at around 80MBps.

(Be aware though that these have tiny mechanical hard drives and are subject to fail, but only after @ 900 hours of operation. It happened once where it gradually de-sectored and corrupted various files.)
