So my external HDD unfortunately broke and I have decided to use these flash sticks for my nostalgic files like phone videos, photos, recipes, etc. I will write it once and fill it up, then transfer the files when I have to get a new computer, which was what I was doing with the external HDD. I hope these will be more reliable if I only fill them up once.

Much faster than my "old" 32 GB, which was close to full! I think I got this on a sale day for only $58. Transfers files so fast. Also, you can set up password protection. Big plus. Just wish there was a easy way to get it on and off my keychain (like my old 32GB). This would have been enough to downgrade to a 4*, but so impressed with the speed, that makes up for it!

I purchased this 500 GB flash drive to use as a backup drive for my 250 GB of data. Process of encrypting was very slow -- 250 GB of data took about 15 hours. I will probably stick to the external backup drives I have been using, which encrypt 250 GB of data in about 4 hours. If you want to use it just a backup drive for small amounts of data that you want to encrypt or if you just need a drive for transferring or backing up files without encryption, this product is a great buy. So, the plus is that it is very small and so ultra portable, but the downside is that the encrypting process takes a very long time.

Nice use scan disk 12gb. Nuce you back up your pc or whatever you need to backup save.

It works just as I needed it to. Would recommend.
