i recommend this item to replace the old hard rive

A solid drive. Not as good as the Samsung Evo or Pro line, but I needed a replacement drive in a bind so I had to settle for this. I even prefer the Samsung software kit over the Sandisk utilities.

This hard drive is a good price, however failed less than 2 months after purchase. Took sandisk a week to offer rma for return. I work with computers so I assume I just got unlucky this time, but beware

The drive is good and the price was decent, but the migration tool to move from your old drive to the new one was very weak.

If the budget isn't too tight, I would suggest a Samsung EVO SSD. A little bit more, but a better drive.

A lot slower than I expected but I was able to save my data after the Geeks said they couldn't.

It's not the fastest but definitely good for a budget build in comparison to the 850evo.

We bought this to add preformance to our system. It is alright very average.

Just installed and have yet to run the windows startup speed test, not too worried.

It's not the best but for the price point the only one I use.

Worked on, but returned for a Samsung 850 evo. More reliable.

Decided to go with the Samsung 850 Evo 500gb instead

It works, but gets hot during normal usage. I have to us a fan to cool the SSD and my laptop. With the heat it will wear down the laptop. I will look for a better SSD. I don't know how long it will last.

I've purchased several of these drives, and while I've generally had good results-- the last two have had failures in which they lost the Operating System, and would not boot (luckily I was able to recover the data).

I like the concept of no moving parts but had a little trouble fitting the new hard drive in the existing hard drive slot. It took some time but I finally got it to fit. Once in software setup was no problem.

Since I'm not able to find answers to most questions concerning my PC it's rather disappointing to have to realize the limitations associated. It works but whether it is formatted correctly I'll never know.

Not impressed at all with how this ssd ended up working. Had a decent 3 months using it just as a backup library for my steam games, and even with minor use it just burnt out today. Both my OCZ and Kingston SSDs are still running strong (both also have roughly a year of use, as well as the OS on the OCZ). Would not recommend to anyone unless you are putting files onto it that you dont mind losing once it burns out. Sad part is my local Best Buy has no options for SSD's, so I will once again go back to newegg as I have never had a good experience with SanDisk.

I returned this product because it requires an adapter to fit in a desktop's internal hard drive slot even though the description says it's compatible with desktops.
