I had one of these for about two weeks and though I loved the drive, it only took a little accidental pressure to break the incoming USB port of the drive itself. I'd say 5 stars, but for durability of something made to travel I have to knock off a point.

We have a small business, and I've put these drives in various sizes in about 5 computers now. Eager to do the rest. Easy install (used the Apricorn clone tool, bought separately). No complaints.

I bought this to replace a piece of junk Samsung 840, and the drive has worked flawlessly since then. Read and writes are all as fast now as when I got it a few months ago.

I purchased this at my local store when it was on sale. Used the included software to copy my data from my HDD to the SSD. When I tried to boot from the SSD I received a message that the boot sector wasn't found. I tried to repeat the process but software to transfer the data can only be run one time. If it doesn't work the 1st time the included software won't help.

Drove an hour and a half to pick this up, got home and put it in my laptop to replace my smaller SSD and nothing...dead. I put my other one back in and it works fine. Kind of sucks because I know they will be all out of these when I bring it back to exchange it (another 1 1/2 hour drive). Lost money all the way around.

I purchased the Sandisk Ultra II 480 GB drive in April, 2015. It crashed yesterday, Sept 13, 2015, just 6 months since purchase. It's a useless brick now.

Run, do not walk, away from this drive. I installed mine on July 10, 2016. It experienced complete physical failure the morning of August 4, 2016. That's a 24-day lifespan. Sandisk may be great for flash drives, but I will NEVER buy another SSD from them. The RMA process for Sandisk is incredibly slow. It took them a couple days to send me my RMA label, timed so that I wasn't able to mail it for two more days because of Saturday collection times and no post on Sundays, and when they finally shipped my replacement, they told me it was in the mail two or three days before it actually was. Then they used a slow shipping service on top of it all. Drive: 24 days from installation to failure. RMA process: 14 days from filing to replacement. I don't like having another one of these unreliable drives in my computer (I will be running multiple backups every day and doing manual backups of some documents to flash drives), and am only using it because I've already paid over $100 for it. As soon as I can I'll be replacing it with a Samsung, either an EVO or a PRO, which seem to have much better reliability records and longer warranties.

Installed this an upgrade and wound up regretting it. Drive will not read. Noticing several other online having short term failures since the beginning of 2016. Best Buy would not accept a return, policy dictates defective items go to the manufacturer. You send in your drive and they evaluate and send a replacement. Leaves you without a computer for too long. Not thrilled with San Disk's customer service thus far, though they did acknowledge a bad batch.

I could not get this to work with my xbox one. It would cause the xbox to lock up. I had to unplug it and plug it back in every time I started the xbox to get it to work. It could not have been the drive enclosure since I bought a PNY drive and it works perfectly in the same enclosure.

I had high hopes for this drive but it failed after 9 months. Sudden and complete failure. Total loss. I've submitted an RMA with SanDisk and I suppose they'll replace it. I'm not sure whether I'll use it or not though.
