Installing this Sandisk SSD greatly improved the laptop’s performance. Added speed not only lowered boot time but app performance as well. Saved buying a new computer.

If you need more space and more speed for your laptop, I highly recommend it. I replaced my 500GB hard drive in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro and it is working flawlessly.

I purchased 2 of these drives at different points when they were on sale for about $250. These are not the fastest drives, like the Samsung 850 Pro, nor is the warranty as long (3 years vs. 10 for Samsung), but I have found these drives are very reliable. Usually with SSDs, if they aren't DOA or die soon after initial use, they tend to last because there are no moving parts. I use these to back up 4K videos of my kids' events, so I am not constantly writing to them as may be the case for many people, so I cannot comment on reliability from normal use, but they are tremendous value for backups.

I bought it to replace my old laptop hard drive last year. I am so glad it is still keep running very fast and steady. No problems at all.

Fast. Easy install. And the savings from the samsung comparable ssd is worth the 40gb loss for the $50 or $60 dollars in your pocket.

This ssd disk is a great buy and it is so fast. The drive works great and replace a standard disk drive in my lap top. It boots in 1 minute.

Now I feel the benefit of having an i-5 laptop. Extremly fast bootup. Apps runs faster and great.

I remember when SSDs were extremely expensive. When I bought this, the price was slightly over $200. One TB SSDs were nearly $1000 a year ago. SSDs are super fast, 4-6x faster than regular hard drives. My Windows 10 computer boots up in 10 seconds. Opening and saving files are super quick. It makes my computer super fast.

I bought two of these units on deal of the day using either a price match or a new lowered price during deal of the day. That alone made it worthwhile because both items even after taxes was under $217 and one was even under $200 with a price match. Overall it's not the fastest as I said on the market but it's more than adequate to speed up an older laptop or even a newer laptop. Windows loading becomes I don't know something fantastic from under 30 seconds or less. It is good to have the extra storage capacity to store files that I needed to be accessed very quickly not just operating system.

I have a 17" 2010 MBP with a 500G HDD that was the biggest and baddest that could purchased when it was new. But because of photography work, the HDD would fill and I would need to delete files to an external drive. I was in Best Buy looking at the new iPad Pro and talking to the Best Buy / Apple guy and he suggested the SanDisk 960G SSD as a way of prolonging the life of my MBP, since a 17" screen is no longer an option. After getting an OWC enclosure and Carbon Copy, it was a breeze to duplicate the existing HDD. The swap was very easy with the right screwdrivers. Since installing the SSD, my computer runs significantly cooler, which in of itself is a great benefit as many of you know MBPs can get uncomfortably warm on your lap. It is much faster now for items that access the SSD and it will take much longer to fill this drive. It is also incredibly quiet now, in fact silent. If you are like me and have a computer that just works for you and keeps on chugging, this is a great way of extending the life of your cherished MBP.

Installed drive 2/15/16 in my MacBook Pro 17in Mid2010 i7 and upgraded the OS to El Capitan. So far the laptop is running better than new and I am very happy with my purchase. I plan to update the review if I have trouble with the drive in the future.

Got for MBP and it runs great. Installed clean and then restored data. Great speed increase!

i was looking for a new solid state drive to repalce my current samsung 830 evo i got from 4 years ago..........this one is read and writes faster and it also boots windows 10 alot faster than the samsung i have thats an old model but solid state......this is a Great bang for your buck.....id advise you get it ......im replacing my physical hard disk drives for solid state so this is great

When purchasing a new desktop PC, I was continually looking for one that also contained an internal SSD. I finally decided it was less expensive to simply find one with a similar capacity as the one that it came with and then move the entire disk to the SSD. Great decision. My original hard drive is still available if needed. Once I copied everything to the SSD, I disconnected the power to my hard drive to save it for later possible use and started using the new SSD. Not only is it lightning fast, my PC is so quiet I have to put my ear against the case to verify it is on. This is the second SanDisk Ultra II 960GB internal disk I have purchased, one for an older PC over a year ago and yet another one for my new Dell XPS PC and I could not be more pleased. Never had a problem with either of them. Highly recommended.

I am very happy with this hdd it's very quick, it also doesn't make noise.

The laptop standard hard drive died and was replaced with this SSD 960GB drive. Much more space and much faster access for most applications. Only sw not faster are programs within a VM, but starting the VM off the SSD drive is much faster. Had this about a month so far. If you use your computer a lot and you can afford it, this is worth the extra money.

Really fast and dependable great upgrade from a sata

My computer was so slow booting up that it was frustrating. I took it to Best Buy Geek Squad. I bought this drive and had them install it and transfer my data from my old drive. The next day I picked up my computer and I am very pleased. When I turn my computer on, it boots up very quickly and is a pleasure to work with.
