More of a matte finish. Assembling stand and mounting TV best done by two people. Doesn't quite rate five stars (not aesthetically pleasing) but better than four.

Great TV Base

It was simple to set up and use with a nice swivel to angle the TV if needed. The TV is very stable when mounted to this base. I also like that there is a place for cables to come through it to the TV hiding them in the back.

An Excellent Base for Fairly Heavy TV's

It is very well made and should last for many years. It was simple to attach our TV to the base and it is very stable and secure. My wife and I are both 77 years old, and with a little huffing and puffing, we were able to lift our 60+ pound TV above shoulder height and slide it onto the well designed bracket on the base. Younger people should have no problem at all.
