    They sit mere inches from my head, and they make the sound better than when the speaker sat on the table next to me. Also, should we upgrade, we expect to be able to use them for new / different speakers.

    Pretty good stands. Adjusts to pretty much any bookshelf speaker. Wish there was a bit more weight to them. They seem a bit top-heavy and my cat easily knocked one over that had a small Bose speaker attached.
