You will have plenty of parts left over, as there are 3 or 4 mounting brackets included to allow a variety of mounting systems. I bought these stands for the rear/surround speakers for my Sony Home Theater In a Box (HTIB) system with wireless rear speakers; however, I would not recommend these speaker mounts for that product. There is a very small hole in the tube, meant to be a wire-chase, near where the speaker mounts at the top of the tube. If you are using a SONY HTIB, each of the speakers is "hard wired", meaning there is no way to get the wires loose from the speaker, and there is a color coded plug on the other end of each of the wires. That hole is only about 20% large enough for that plug to fit through, and removing the wires from the plug requires one to depress a spring-like protrusion and pull the wire at the same time. Little did I know that the + and - wires were not marked in any manner, so when I got the two wires out of the first plug there was no way to know the polarity (the polarity is marked on the plastic plug into which the wires are inserted). I finally just traced the wires back from the other surround speaker to the plug and marked the - wire with a sharpie, hoping that the wires were not twisted inside the speaker cabinet, and then marked the wire on the - side of the other plug as soon as I got it out. I still do not know if the polarity is correct, but the speakers sound OK. It would have been a less-than-desirable option to just not use the wire-chase through the upright tubes on the speaker stand. If you have a system with plugs already attached to the end of the speaker wires. you need to either be ready to struggle with getting the wires out of the plug or perhaps find a different product. If it had not been for the hole being so small, I would have rated this product 5 stars, but that was just downright poor planning since HTIB products are all the rage these days. If you are starting out with a regular receiver and a spool of speaker wire marked for polarity (either 2 different color wires or a stripe or ridge to mark one of the two wires) you won't have this problem, so carry on and expect the product to work very well. The bases are heavy and the carpet spikes do a great job of keeping the stands from moving about in my application. Good luck! Now that I know what to expect I will probably buy another set for the front speakers and just wall mount the center channel speaker.
