BB assured these would work 4 yamaha speakers that i just bought at BB too. the nubs 4 the bottom were wayyy too big for the tiny holes,, took a hammer 2 force them in. surprisingly of the miultiple options for bracket connection, only one worked for my speakers. it also left me a little skeptical that just one screw was holding the speaker. also, the screws were too long, and the nuts didnt fit the screws, so had to go to lowes and get a few 1/4 in. washers to get it tight. was a bit of a hassle threading the wires, but that was expected. otherwise they are good stands, they look real good, and the adjustable option is awesome and they seem very sturdy.durable. just be ready to add washers if u havethe new yamaha speakers,

this product was so simple to put together. a simple screw driver and an included allen wrench is all you need. universal brackets leave it open to so many possibilities to what speakers you can use. my only complaint is and which is probably my own fault. the speaker is always spinning due to my kids grabbing them and stuff. but the screws do not seem to hold the brackets in place very well... great product over all. if you have kids that mess with things go another route. but they look good and work well!!!!

These are very nice stands with a sandpaper like powder-coat finish. Appearance is very nice and looks great with my Sony HTIB. The only 2 problems I had were, #1, Screwing in the pole to the base. The problem was, that powder-coat was on the female threads and it took quit a bit of elbow grease to get it all the way down. #2 Threading your speaker wires will be a little tricky if you don't have a fine set of needle nose pliers. I previously had my surround speakers on the end-tables of either side of my couch. After setting them up on these stands it made a miracle of a difference.

Assembly is rather simple and all tools required are included. They are easy to hide behind a sectional due to their slim profile. Also seem sturdy and have good weight.

Not for Bose

Best Buy recommended these with Bose Cinemate GS II. The speakers do mount, but they mount a little awkwardly. The Bose wires (custom just for Bose) can't fit thru the stand. So my wires run up the back end of the stand and are held on with twist ties. Not really Sanus fault since Bose are intentionally being difficult. However, it is Best Buy's fault for recommending as compatible. Would rather have paid a little more to get the Bose stands (assuming the wires would fit thru). These stands do seem durable and don't give you the feeling that they'll break or be knocked over too easily.

I purchased a yamaha yht 497bl and was looking for speaker stands that would complement my home entertainment system. So after researching stands on the internet I came across this brand. It had great reviews. It was well made and easy to put together. A piece of cake. LOOKS GREAT!
I put the stands together in no time. The wire slides and hides inside the speaker stand. Great feature! I got it all hooked up ready to blow the walls down turned on the receiver and nothing. NO SOUND. I tested the speakers and receiver displayed INTERNAL ERROR -10. Back to Best Buy. It's too bad Sanus doesn't make receivers because I'd probably buy it in a heart beat with the confidence it would work the first time just like their stands. And not to mention look good!

Great product with one drawback

Purchased two sets yesterday and opened one and realized they are too short for my rear speakers. Not a big deal I set them up in minutes on the front speakers and they are great. Easy to put together with many mounting options and I really liked that they came with rubber feet and carpet spikes. The only big draw back was that the hole and poles used to help hide the speaker wire were too small for 16ga. wire so I had to go with 18ga. No a huge deal but was a little dissapointed. Over-all a great product, could be a little cheaper.

Speaker Stands

I needed speaker stands for two rear speakers for home theater. These filled the bill. Because they are heavy iron stands they resist toppling. the setup came with various brackets and hardware. it wasn't too long before I figured out what combo of brackets and hardware worked with my speakers. My gripe is that the instruction manual is language free but not clear enough by symbols alone. I almost wrecked the stands trying to follow the instructions.

Not much to say here folks, simple to assemble, great weight on the stands to provide super stable hold, and even includes carpet spikes for a no slip hold.

These are awesome speaker stands! I bought 2 pairs at my local Best Buy the other day for my Samsung 5.1 satellite speakers and they look awesome!!! They were a breeze to put together and I love that I dont have to run a bunch of speaker wire up my walls or through my attic! I got mine on sale for $39.99 a pair and I feel like they are worth every penny! The carpet spikes are nice too to keep them from moving or falling over. These are very sturdy, well built and are a great addition to my living room space! Buy them and you wont be sorry! This is a really great product!

Good speaker stands for the price

These speaker stands are easy to assemble, but the threads were stripped on one of the brackets, so speaker stability on one of the stands is a bit tenuous. They will accomodate speaker wires up to 18 gauge threaded through the shaft of the stand (with difficulty), but not my 14 gauge wire. I recommend 20 gauge speaker wire or smaller. These stands were only $39.99 before Christmas 2010, but now they are $54.99. I should have bought them back then, but I am still satisfied with the purchase and plan to buy another set for my rear speakers.

Made a difference in the quality of sound. Music and movies are definitely enhanced by using the speakers. They are small are easy to place in a room, but give you the quality of a much larger sound system.

I bought these for the left and right front speakers in my Sony home theater and they're great. Gets your speakers up in the air for a much clearer sound and added ease of setting your speakers up for the best possible positioning. I too had an issue with the powder coat finish on the female threads as mentioned below but on only one of the stand bases and it wasn't a big issue for me.

The stands work great and blend into the decor of the room. Very easy to assemble. The only issue is that I have a Vizeo home theatre system and I had to mount the rear speakers upside down in order to make the L bracket work with the speakers. I did a lot of research and learned that it is OK to have the speakers mounted that way - so I kept the stands.
