Housemarque put out another banger in Saros. If you enjoyed Returnal you will enjoy this. If you did not, you may still enjoy this as there are a lot of interesting new systems added here to tweak the difficulty and overall gameplay. The added dance of having to block with the shield in addition to dodging is very satisfying. Story wise, this is an interesting cosmic horror type tale. Arjun is an interestingly written protagonist and the actor is awesome. I think I preferred the story of Returnal but this is is still pretty cool. Fantastic showcase of the PS5.

Amazing game, loved Returnal And this one is also an amazing Arcade like shooting game (how I perceive it) the fact that your upgrades remain after each run make the game more fun and also respects your time as all the previous efforts don’t go to waste like it happed in Returnal. So Far amazing game, sound graphics, control. Just excellent.

I loved Returnal, this is no different, gameplay is great as well as the story and frustrations that come with playing a game like this, but it’s well worth it. Looks even better on the Pro model, definite must own.

Saros is fun to play and looks great, but a number of aspects of the game are a step down from Returnal for me. The story is way less interesting. The addition of other NPCs is fine, but most of them have bad voice acting and dialogue that is very jarring and weird in a bad way. Their lines are very inorganic and the characters try to sound poetic all of the time in how they hold even normal conversations. On top of this sometimes the game wants you to go talk to somebody to get more information to progress story plotlines, and they'll only say 1-2 sentences to you so it's the bare minimum information covered. Aside from the underwhelming story and the uninteresting characters, the gunplay and enemies are mostly very good. If you just want to run around in the bullet hell and shoot aliens then you will likely enjoy this game, but not much else about it is very appealing. Feels like a good bit less content than Returnal as well. You can beat this game in 10-15 hours and there is some replayability but not necessarily a lot unless you absolutely love it.

This game is great, it's a spiritual successor to Returnal, an early PS5 game which nails fast arcade-y shooter gameplay. Saros builds on the gameplay of Returnal while being more accessible with difficulty modifiers and other small improvements to make it a more instant experience. It's still challenging in a way that feels satisfying and not too frustrating. The game was a bit shorter than I would like it to be, but there's a lot of replay value. The story takes a backseat but it's waiting there if you want to look for it. With more current-gen games backing away from the $70 price tag, I hoped this would as well, but since it didn't I'd recommend waiting for a sale. If you liked Returnal it's an easy recommendation because it's more of the same addicting gameplay. If you haven't played Returnal, Saros might be a better entry point as it's easier than the former.

This is a great video game. The gameplay is phenomenal and the world design is crazy. The gameplay loop is also very addicting.

There's a story, but the focus is on the gameplay. A lot like Returnal, but the difficulty isn't nearly as punishing, and you're always making progress. Sure, you could wait for a sale, but these development teams deserves full price.

While I prefer the gameplay and difficulty of Returnal, Saros was immensely fun to play and I find myself playing it through repeatedly for the smooth gameplay and to try and master different weapons. I can’t wait for their next game!

Honestly I love this game, story line is great and feels like you're actually progressing unlike returnal I felt I was in a loop but saros takes you further. All in all I rate this 5/5

Difficult game, but more approachable than its predecessor (Returnal). If you loved Returnal, you’ll love this. If you found Returnal too difficult - this will be a better entry into playing this type of game.

I'm a huge Returnal fan, and couldn't wait for this game. Super fun, fast and intense. Not quite as epic as Returnal, but totally worth it. Great game!

It's a really fun game - I would say it's significantly less challenging than Returnal was, but is still a good challenge and feels like a dream to play.
