I’ve always really like this movie so I wanted to own it on blu ray. I just wish they would come out with a 4k and/or a steelbook but for now I’m okay with blu ray. This movie still looks pretty good. And it came in perfect condition as always.

Oliver stone ... enough said. Really great movie real.

Ultra violent thriller by Oliver Stone. Does not disappoint.

Savages boils down to a revenge film, but it's tarted up with so many extraneous plot machinations and stylistic flashiness that the grittiness of the core storyline gets lost at times. Still, this is one of Stone's most gorgeously shot recent films (if you don't mind the occasional decapitation, random shooting, and body being set on fire). The film is relentlessly breathless, which actually helps it overcome some of its dramatic stumbles, but its attempts to briefly interject some humor (mostly courtesy of Travolta's character) never seem nearly as funny as del Toro and Hayek playing not just to the second balcony, but evidently to some far off planet. Those who can stomach the mayhem and who won't mind the logical inconsistencies of this film may want to check it out on style points alone. Others may want to recycle their old VHS of JFK instead—it actually makes more sense than this film a lot of the time.

This movie has a good plot, it keeps you guessing throughout. We didn't know what to expect, and ended up really enjoying it.. Best Buy only has a rating with whole stars, we would rate this a 3.5 star movie. It's not the best movie ever, but it's not just mediocre either....like I said, good plot along with good acting. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I definitely recommend it.

This film is a classic. Did it receive the hype and acknowledgment that it deserves? Probably not. This is a film that is just fantastic! The story is weird, quirky, but engaging. It makes you ask yourself questions, why are the characters doing what they're doing, what motivates them? How does that reflect on myself? The visual storytelling is fantastic, you can tell alot of time and attention to detail was put into every single shot you see and sound that you hear. Truly a sensory overload!

Oliver Stone tones down the quick cut editing and lefty chest thumping for a pretty great action/thriller/drama. Del Toro owns it as a cartel enforcer. Great acting all around. The blu-ray itself is well worth the low purchase price. Includes the digital copy... always nice.

not a big fan of salma cant understand a word she is saying. but in this movie as a crime lord she was excellent. and lethal. knew more women being the boss then men. crazy and deadly at the same time. cast around her was great. photography outstanding. hollywood need to look up. some women can really be a great and deadly. action was outstanding.

2 best friends and a girl want to get into the drug business but don't realize what to expect when competing with other cartels. The friends are put in a position when the girl they both love is kidnapped by cartel and they must find way to rescue her.

One of the best performances ever from Del Toro. He just ruled and stole this movie. Plus being set in the wild new world of semi-legal weed makes for interesting themes. Some good action scenes, and I started to care for the characters. Well done film.

The characters are not heroic. They might be people you know but they are not your friends. They do bad things. So why did I keep watching this movie? Watch it, maybe you can figure why. Not for the faint of heart.

"Savages" is a welcome return to appropriately lurid form for Oliver Stones. A whole lot of bloody, messy, and stylish fun can be found within the confines of it's bloated running time, just as long as you're willing to overlook a few obvious (but not deal breaking) flaws.

As a big Taylor Kitsch fan, I had to see this movie. The surprise was Aaron Taylor-Johnson, of Kick-A... fame. Wow, has he matured? Did not recognize him at first. Can't wait to see him in other movies, but Taylor K got me here, so thanks for the sale price.

This is an older movie that we have not seen and we were delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife and I can watch it anytime we want.

Definitely a movie for action movie lovers, fast paced and plenty of action throughout with some decent twists and turns. Better than most of the newer drug movies out sorta reminded me of Highway with Jared Leto.

I was hesitant about seeing this movie as oliver stone movies can be hard to follow sometimes but I was really surprised at how good this movie was really good storytelling and a lot of good action.

Bought it at a great price on sale at BB! This was a blind buy since I didn't see this in theaters. If you like movies simply for the pleasure of watching rather than worrying about reviews, this is a good movie!

This is a really gritty action film with drug lords, pot heads and some great actors. Intense nudity/love scenes and very graphic violence make it one heck of film to watch with a bowl of popcorn. It's intense. If you liked "Sabotage" this is up your alley.
