Tyler Connolly (vocals, guitar); Dave Brenner (guitar); Lenny Skolnik, Jonny Litten (keyboards, programming); Howard Benson (keyboards); Joe Dandeneau (drums).Audio Mixer: Jay Ruston.Recording information: Henson Studios, Los Angeles, CA; The Grip Studio, Nashville, TN; West Valley Studios, Woodland Hills, CA.Photographer: Christian Lantry.Despite the alienating snarl of the title Savages, Theory of a Deadman find space for guests on their fifth album. Alice Cooper wanders into the title track to mumble a recitation and Joe Don Rooney -- aka the Rascal Flatt who plays guitar but doesn't front the band -- comes in for the tongue-in-cheek "Livin' My Life Like a Country Song." This isn't the only time TOAD play around on Savages. They jab at Chris Brown and the Kardashians on "Blow," they claim they're living through "World War Me," they write an ode to their "Panic Room," and they enlist a children's choir to help them bring "The Sun Has Set on Me" to its rousing conclusion. As before, producer Howard Benson gives TOAD a muscular sound that accentuates the group's debt to Nickelback -- they both specialize in growled singsong riffs -- and his sinewy sheen is appealing; he shines the big hooks and layers the riffs so they contain a visceral force. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

For fans of Theory, this will be a nice CD to add to the collection. I'd only heard Angel and Drown before I bought it, as I was going to see them in concert the next week. I didn't make it to the concert, but I have the CD. Blow is really catchy and I'm starting to really like it. The other songs are decent, and a few will definitely grow on you. Thumbs up.

Bought this for a couple specific songs I liked and was kinda disappointed with the others. Ironically after you listen to the others more and more, they grow on you and are really good. Be patient when listening to this album. You will like it for sure.

Theory of a Deadman has released some awesome music and albums, but I honestly can say this is one of their best! Definitely a harder and more of a rocker album than others too, this is TOAD at their finest!

This album has a very dark mood. Its a gloomy album. I loved it tho! Its not so much of a crazy party rock star album like their last few albums. It has Alice Cooper featured on a song. Way cool!

The CD has some explicit lyrics but nothing to get excited about.
It is labeled as such and is for adults.

I am a fan of previous Theory CDs. While this one is good, it is not nearly as good as past efforts.
