Nice knifes poorly shipped

The knifes are nice, just like the block set, but that is after I have corrected all the issues caused by shipping. First the box they are sent in had no packing, no air bubbles, no paper, no foam. So the wooden box the knifes are shipped in was cracked. Also the box was poorly built and painted. The knifes inside were just roaming around, damaging each other. The edges were damaged, the nice black finish was damaged, so an exchange via mail will likely result with the same damage. Solution throw out the wooden box, wrap the blades in foam and use a cheaper but more effective packing solution. So now I have to repair the blades, re-edge them, and clean them up as good as I can. I want to keep them, and I don't want to go through the hassle at my expense to return and retry again.

I read a previous review and thought maybe it was a mistake. The knives are shipped in the box, the knives are not tapped down so during delivery they are moving around, scratching the inside of the box, but most disheartening is that the knives themselves are scratched. They are getting returned.

Bought two sets and they make quick work on steaks. Nice finish and the edge holds after many uses.
