I enjoyed the movie very much, but i felt the storyline was overshadowed by too many characters that really did not add to the movie.

There are probably more avid fans out there than I, but as someone who grew up watching the TV show and have the live action movies from a few years ago, I did enjoy this. I would have seen it in theaters, but COVID changed that and I don't stream so the BluRay was my first viewing. This is supposedly the origin story, but that part took only 12 mins out of the movie, with the rest being a pretty typical adventure. One difference is that the supernatural elements are usually revealed to be faked but this time they were real. The movie contains a lot of homages to other Hanna-Barbera characters and properties as well, so that may make this more interesting to devout H-B fans. (I noticed a quick background reference to Johnny Quest.) As far as extras (bonus features) are concerned, there is the normal deleted scenes (mostly just story-boarded) and bloopers (mostly video of voice actors blowing it) but not much else. The disc, like most (all?) of the latest Warner Home Video releases jumps straight to play all the bonus features when the movie is done (though you can go to Main Menu and select them individually).

I could not believe the negativity around this movie. While I'm a life-long Scooby-Doo fan, I am more than capable of watching each entry into the ever-expanding Scooby library with a critical eye. And while there have been some ups and downs, to me this was one of the better releases. The story, on the whole, is pretty good, and there are a number of little (and big) easter eggs in the picture to reward long-time fans. While I do prefer the hand-drawn look for these characters, the CGI was beautiful and for the most part the voice actors hit the mark. The most difficult thing for me while watching this was how much more talkative Scooby was - he's pulling off whole sentences which takes some getting used to. Hopefully, this is the first of many more full-length features!

The movie missed the big screen so far. I actually asked the theaters to bring it now that they are being opened. Fred's hair was actually blond & they are not in the same time period as the original cartoon. The part where Shaggy & Scooby meet is cool. I like them going over how the group met. I liked the one scene about that that was deleted also. The opening song is icky. They do get to the Scooby song in the film. The one lady was actually part of Captain Cave Man's group. They did not do a good replication of Dasteredly. His dog looked just like the original though.

CGI creates a decidedly new look, but characterizations for the Mystery, Inc. team are spot on compared to TV shows and other movies. Having the crystal skulls at the center of the plot look like carnivorous dinosaurs is a nice touch. So are the modernized versions of other Hannah characters. Dick Dastardly seems a more believable villain here than in the cartoons, (The quick glimpse of a stuffed pigeon in his memorabilia closet is another nice touch.). Having Dick run away when the supernatural Cerebus in Greek armor shows up seems very in character. All in all, a satisfying addition to Scooby Do’s story.

We waited until the DVD came out to watch this movie. My kids are 7 and they just recently got into old Scooby Doo shows. They were excited to watch this and enjoyed it a lot. It also has enough fun for adult jokes to keep me laughing as well. They were all over my kids’ heads. All in all it’s a fun movie for the whole family.

If you enjoyed 80s cartoons, you will love all the references and old characters woven into this movie. My kids also really enjoyed it. I loved Scooby Doo cartoons growing up, so it is immediately one of my favorite new movies. I highly recommend it for a family movie night.

I've loved Scooby Doo since I was young, and I like that they keep coming out with new material for every generation. This is a very cute movie; I love the quality of the animation and the story is great. I hope they make more movies/shows within this iteration of the show.

Bought this for my kids and figured it would be another Scooby animated with the same repeated plot points as the rest. However this was a very unique story, with a great plot, that had tons of through backs on various old Hanna Barbara characters beyond the Scooby gang. Loved it.

I have always been a huge fan of scooby doo growing up but when I heard this movie was coming out without Mathew lillard I honestly thought it was gonna be bad but it is really good tons of old character throw backs and great jokes something you and your kids will love

This film was okay but hit at a miss, I original bought this for me and my boy. He didn't like it as much as the other Scooby Doo films/shows but we watch it nonetheless. If you aren't as much a die hard fan then you won't get any of the references or mythology that goes into it. But check out for yourself.

Scooby and the gang are back and facing both monsters and their own group issues. We get a look at how the gang formed, and how they deal with growing up. A bit more elevated than the normal fare in this series, and for a deeper dive, it was a good first step. Good for all ages, not just kids of all ages.

Excellent for the entire family. Both kid and adult laughs. Awesome to see some of the other nostalgic characters from back in the day reappearing in a modern day rendition....Captain Caveman, Dynomutt, etc...

This is a great hanna barbera movie but just and ok scooby doo movie. It starts out like a scooby doo movie but half way through feels like the movie gets highjacked by other hanna barbera characters. That's not to say the movie isn't fun, it's just not a scooby doo movie anymore.

So many great thing in this but the story itself was a little bit by the numbers for this long time fan. Kids will enjoy it and older fans like myself will schema and point at the screen at all of the Easter Eggs thrown in. The title sequence alone is worth it for die hard fans.

If you like Scooby Doo you should like this movie. A big plus is that is on Blu-ray. I am a big fan of animated movies because they are fun for all ages. And the color is fantastic.

Exceptional cartoon movie. It holds true to the old series and stresses the importance of pet friendship. We are put on this Earth to be as kind as humanly possible. Nicely entertaining.

As a Scooby fan, this is good stuff! A lot of people didn’t like it because if it’s “Hannah Barbera universe connection” but that for me added more spice to it. It’s a really fun ride.
