First time ever owning this type of product. So far, it has worked flawlessly. I have an iPhone and with an Otterbox Commuter case and it stays in place with the magnets under the case.

I love the idea that it sits on my dash and with my Galaxy S6 Active metal frame it goes on the magnet well. During normal driving, it works great. The bad is that the base doesn't really grip well. With a quick acceleration from a stop, expect this thing on your lap and since the magnet is not really that strong, the phone goes flying also. My wife's iPhone has a fancy plastic case that will not of course stick to the magnet. They do supply a piece of metal that can be inserted between the back of the phone and case, but since her fancy case has cutout holes in the back, she didn't want to see the metal plate, so she can't use it.

I bought this to go along with the GOS I bought for my son. Does it's job well and keeps everything in place without having to stick something to the dash.

Works as advertised, and exactly as advertised. Hasn't dropped any of my devices so far and Is used daily in my truck. Device doesn't spin or slide at all.

I purchased this expensive GPS dashboard stand thinking that it would look better and perform just as well as the one that sticks to the window. While the magnet does stick to the GPS very well, the weight of the stand isn't enough to keep the stand from falling off the dash while making wide turns while driving. That's a nuisance when I'm driving alone so I returned it and purchased a much cheaper one elsewhere that sits on the glass elsewhere. I hadn't had any problems with it.

No glue on dash and low profile. Much better than a suction cup which comes loose with changes in heat.

I was looking for a portable mount for my gps and phone.... Was able to move this from my personal car and rental on business trips very easily. Very satisfied.

This product is for a flat dash. I bought it to transfer between both my vehicles. It holds my phone really well. Only negative is that it slides a little if turning a small radius or stopping quickly.

Works great. I use it to hold my mini android tablet when traveling to show maps. holds steady and does not vibrate

I like this mount for my car but with it being on the dash, my phone gets hot and then will not work. So, I wouldn't recommend if you need your phone on a mount for long periods of time.

Not recommended for dashboards without smooth surface. Has trouble with large GPS units. Works good on smaller ones.

Good product for the price. Holds the GPS unit firmly in place even while driving..went from Long Island to poconos and back and GPS didn’t fall off the device once

I travel a lot and it's nice to be able to see where I'm going. It doesn't move around or falling off the window.

Discrete mount easy to use and move. I especially like the versatility of placing mount anywhere on dashboard

The holder was heavy so I thought the weight would keep it (and the phone) in place, however, it did not do as well as anticipated.

I needed to replace My old, broken, cracked window suction sticker won’t stay adhesive on the windshield anymore!

Love the fact that I don't have to suction this to my dash, leaving a mark. This works great & stays in place while driving.

This mount uses magnets to attach the GPS or cell phone. The magnet attached easily and securely to the cover of my Otterbox Defender case, but the weight of the of my Samsung Galaxy S-7 Edge and the case were too much for the mount to hold securely. A GPS, being significantly lighter, would work well, as would an S-7 Edge without the case. Also, the mount could not hold my cell phone in portrait orientation. This mount is fine for GPS but not well suited for larger cell phones.

It works great and hold phone as needed. Wish it didn't move when you go around corner at times. Magnet is a little ugly on back of phone, but suits the purpose.

purchased this item for the GPS so we wouldn't have to use the suction cup on the window. it worked perfectly.
