I was looking for a phone mount for my truck. I don’t like the ones that hang in the vents. So I chose this one. There two metal plates that come with this. These plate have two sizes. I chose the bigger one at first. I stuck to the back of my 8plus. I have a otter box case. I thought the magnet would work through it. It was not strong enough for the heavy phone. The phone would fall off and this mount did not stay plugged in. I thought for a few minutes and chose the smaller plate and put it outside the case. It worked and the phone stayed on. The other problem was my truck is a 4x4 so it bounces as you drive. That motion caused the mount to fall out constantly. I’m not a smoker so I used a little Elmer’s and now it’s GTG.

I bought this to hold my phone in my work truck. The plug doesn't fit tight enough to hold the phone up right. The weight of the phone causes the unit to slowly twist to the side and fall down. The magnet is strong enough to hold the phone to the arm but it twist to the side on every little bump. I have a sticky Mount magnet by the same company that attaches directly to the dash that works great. I would not buy this again.

My wife doesn't like the vent magnets, and our cup holders are back in the console between the seats in our VW, so you can't see the phone if you used a mount that fits there. Unlike the issue that some folks have with the phone shifting this mount in a horizontal plug, this works perfectly, due to the position of the power jack. We both have cases on our phones and the magnet holds them firmly with the metal plate inside the case.

This holder was exactly what I needed! It is the perfect height, provides USB ports for charging and has strong magnets to hold your phone in place. However, the one detail I wish was better about it is the grip inside the power source.. Every time I turn the entire holder, along with my phone, will rotate in the plug. Kind of irritating but you can get creative and make a simple fix.

Charges great. iPhone X is too heavy to hold on to the magnet. It tends to slide off on bumpy roads.

Works good. Lighter part has USB port. Extension not long enough.

This Magic Mount is the best phone holder I've had so far! I did have to modify the directions a little. Instead of putting the magnet inside my phone case, I put it on the outside of my case. It holds MUCH better. Before a good bump would toss my phone. My car charging port likes to swivel a little, which is not a product of the product. It's my cars issue. Any clues on how to fix that? I also really like the Magic Mount's ability to flex in two areas. One is the extension directly off the charger. The second is the rotational ability of the magnetic head that holds the phone.

I got this to have on our boat, the magnet doesnt charge it you have to have plugged in and with my phone on the magnet it falls down. Magnet is great just not the holder.

I use it for my GPS unit and the magnet holds it well. The extra USB port is handy for other applications.

This mount is awesome. I like that it holds the phone and you can charge it at the same time

A small phone would be best. My hubby has a larger smart phone with a heavy protective case causing the phone to sagon the attachment. Nice because of 2 USB ports.

Works nice, easy to position. Only complaint is the plug that goes into the accessory socket is a bit wobbly. Even so, it's the best cell phone holder I've found

This works ok, I use it for charging everything in my car. But not my phone.

The device comes loose over time while you drive down the road.

I wanted something that would actually hold my phone without it sliding off and this works great! I also like that it has two ports for chargers.

Best mount I have ever bought just easy to connect and use. No instructions needed ready to use and just apply the magnet to your phone.

Bought this for my car which had the power plug on the dash area, so the phone hung horizontally, but it works better in my partners car which has the power plug that allows the product stands vertically.

It’s a great idea if you want a quick disconnect. But be weary if you use a Qi wireless charger it will not work.
