I know I'm in a dreadful minority, but I love these characters and this story! I bought the books, the video game, and the film on BluRay and now on 4K BluRay. If you have the BluRay, It's ok to pass on this version. You're not getting anything new in special features. The soundtrack and score are amazing in Dolby Atmos, but again equally impressive in TrueHD like the 1080p BluRay. The colors are slightly ramped up, as is the music, but you can only polish a diamond so much. The original BluRay already maximized the space with several commentaries, lots of behind the scenes stuff, and deleted scenes. Truth is I actually prefer the original BluRay for the 8-bit Universal opening theme and the original DVD Universal menu. If you are a fan of the books and/or game, and DON'T own this film, then the 4K BluRay isn't a BAD place to start. It's just not one of those films that is helped by HDR. Pick up the regular BluRay instead.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World is a hilarious modern-day cult classic. While I wish it’d gotten more recognition upon its initial release, I’m glad that it’s developed a loyal legion of fans. It was a delight to go to midnight screenings when I lived in Denver and see the audience get a little more crowded each screening. It’s a visual and sonic delight and unlike anything else out there. Wright really knocked it out of the park here and I consider it his best movie thus far. Universal gives Scott Pilgrim vs The World an extra life thanks to a genuinely excellent 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release. Even sourced from a 2K DI, this Dolby Vision transfer is a notable improvement over its 1080p counterpart with a highly immersive Dolby Atmos mix to match. Bonus features may be the same batch as before but they’re all very informative and worth the time to pick through. Grab your sword of self-respect and upgrade! Highly Recommended

Scott Pilgrim in 1080p. I actually still prefer 1080p over 4K, so this was the right choice for me.

Scott Pilgrim has been our favorite movie since we discovered it a few years ago, and we rewatch it at least 3 times a year. So upgrading from our standard HD Blu Ray disc to this 4K release was a no-brainer. Playing it through our Panasonic DP-UB820 on our 65" Sony X90J, while running sound through our Pioneer Elite AVR with Klipsch Reference Premium speakers (hey, I spent all the money, I get the occasional urge to brag about it from time to time), certainly is very satisfying. The upgrade to Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos takes an already thoroughly fantastic movie and knocks it way out of the park.

Can't help it -- this is one of my favorite movies, and I caught it on sale for a very low price. I won't review the movie itself -- I assume you already know about it. The Blu-Ray offers good color, great sound -- so you should have no worries there. This particular version just included the blu-ray -- no digital copy or DVD version, if that's important to you. As for the movie itself, although I promised not to review it, I will say it's a brilliant fantasy, funny, well-acted and warm-hearted. I think you'll enjoy every minute of it.

5 out of 5 SEX BOB-OMBS! Entertaining from start to finish and without question the best comic book adapted movie I've seen. Sin City and 300 were also absolutely amazing but that's comparing Apples to Oranges. Visually this movie is in a league of it's own. 4K enhances the colors and vibrancy of every scene throughout the entire movie and the soundtrack bumps like a mono. Definitely worth picking up and a movie you can watch on repeat.

What can I say about this film that you don’t know already? Starring Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, & Chris Evans. It’s one of Edgar Wright’s finest movies! It’s literally a moving comic book and quite hilarious! If you like this movie, I highly recommend checking out Wright’s and Pegg’s “Spaced.” A beautiful, comedic, and episodic evolution of two best friends!

To this day, this is still one of my favorite comic book films. Edgar Wright nails everything in this adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim comic books, from the look and feel of the film, to the action and stunt choreography, as well as the cast and the humor. You can come to this film with no knowledge of the its source and have a great time!

From a visual standpoint, the 4K remaster of Scott Pilgrim impresses with better color grading in terms of skin tones and a bump in resolution for certain scenes. It's really in the audio department with the addition of a Dolby Atmos track that this remaster shines. With spacial elements used throughout the movie ( i.e., crowds in the background and the sound of one evil EX swirling around the viewer) , the movie comes alive and truly elevates the experience for the audience. Buy this 4K for the audio ( and maybe not so much for the visual upgrade )

seriously this has to be the most perfect comic book movie out there! yeah yeah some of you will say marvel this, marvel that. but this movie is solid fun and great action all around its solid visual effects. the story for this is simple, a guy wants to date a girl, but in order for him to do so in peace he has to defeat her seven evil exs. pretty fun concept an simple

As this movie only comes on cable rarely, I had to buy this title. Part movie, part video style game, nerdy Scott somehow defeats all 7 of his girlfriends Evil Exes to win her affection. Looks great on Blu Ray! and the sound is great too. Look for Anna Kendrick as Scott's sister! How did Chris Evans get in there too?

I bought this movie blind (as in I had never seen it) going off of a recommendation from a coworker. And boy was I not disappointed! This movie is fantastic! It has fun characters in wacky situations but it does little things to keep it grounded. The film has some of the most clever writing I have ever seen. The music is also pretty good. Overall, it just an interesting metaphor on dating and relationships with an excellent moral and overall message. I highly recommend giving this a watch.

This movie is one of those rare ones that manage to be over the top and silly, but still have really good writing and is genuinely funny. As for the disc itself, it is one of my favorite transfers. Colors are accurate and have a lot of punch, blacks are just right, and the image is crisp without doing away with the film grain. All in all a great purchase!

I smiled for 2 hours. This is a hyper active, candy colored nerd's dream. The 4K looks and sounds amazing. I never read the graphic novel so I can't compare it. It's a movie that I think confused most audience members on release but has thankfully become a cult hit. It's a total blast from start to finish.

I would recommend this to anyone that is a fan of this movie. The new 4K version just makes it that much better. This should be in everyone's collection. The case artwork is also very well done and it is a great presentation overall. This is a must for any 4K Ultra HD collection.

I've loved this movie since I found it on DVD, and that is what I am upgrading from to this 4K. The upgrade is well worth the money. There is way more details and textures visible compared to the DVD. The darks are nice and deep and the colors are well reproduced. I haven't listened to it in Dolby Atmos, but the surround sounds great.

I had been waiting (with my fingers crossed) for a while for this film to get released in 4K...and here we finally got it! For such a cool visually looking film, I was happy with making the 4K format purchase. Also waited and got it at the right moment and snagged it at a great price! Really happy with my purchase!

I really like steelbooks and this called out to me. I purchased this movie along with 3 others when I found out about Best Buys steelbook artist program. This movie in particular is a great choice for gamers and geeks of the younger and maybe middleage generations. The references to classic game scoring helps to make this movie even better along with referencing the ridiculous stories you might find associated with video games. Needless to say this movie falls into a fantasy bracket and maybe drama as well.
