Every time I watch this film it brings me back to my childhood days of watching it with my brother and friends. It's a different but fun twist to the classic Christmas Carol with catchy tunes and dancing. It's a musical Scrooge. If you're not a fan of plays or musicals.... then you might want to pass.....or it could open your mind to them.

I generally don't enjoy movies based on A Christmas Carol; however, this one has stuck with me since my childhood. It is a musical, which makes it far more enjoyable to me. One of the songs is so catchy that I remembered it from watching it with my grandfather and had to hunt this movie down. It is just as good as I remembered.

Have loved this movie for many years. I had it on VHS and wanted it on DVD I received it earlier than they said and the packaging was great. We will enjoy it for many Christmases to come!!!

A classic that everyone should own on DVD. High quality DVD that my family loves to watch every year!

This is one of the best versions of A Christmas Carol out there.

Movie had too much music for me. I like music in movies but not that much. I guess I like the very old ones with some music but not so much. You may like it if you like a lot of music for that kind of movie.

I forgot how many different versions of this classic there are. Live action, animated, Muppets, and now a musical. Another one to add to my collection which I enjoyed very much. Now I can have a Scrooge marathon at Christmas. My favorite song from the movie is Thank you very much. This is one you and your family will enjoy. And the blu-ray restoration is beautiful.

Looks fantastic on Blu-ray. I can tell they cleaned it up from its original tape format. A must have if you Collect Christmas Carol movies. This 1970s version is a musical. And, one of the best culture movies of all time. *I know its culture. But,, Parents may want to watch before showing to really young children as there are some scary seanes.

There have been so many versions of this story that I'm sure everyone has a favorite. However, this version has so many classic touches that it draws you in. The songs are wonderful and are hard to keep yourself from singing along. Finney's transformation into the miserable miser is award winning. No matter what your Christmas movie tradition, this is a special film to be shared with the family.

This is an excellent and very enjoyable adaptation, with a very strong lead in Albert Finney, great sets and supporting players, memorable special-effects and song sequences, and a hit in "Thank You Very Much". The Blu-Ray transfer is excellent. It's a shame there are no extra features, but the video quality beats VOD and this is definitely a movie I'd watch again next Christmas season.

My parents took us to see this movie at Radio City Music Hall back in 1970 during the Christmas holidays. Tickets were $3 and included a performance by The Rockettes. It will be 50 years old this year and I consider it the best Scrooge movie of all time. The musical score is second to none!

People are complaining about the long and drawn out music at the beginning that has been removed. I always fast forwarded through it. I still like to hear it from time to time and have it on DVD still so I can, but it doesnt make the Blu-ray a deal breaker to not have it. The picture is better now too, so its a win win for me.

I watched this film several years ago and only just decided to finally own it on blu-ray and I am so glad to have my hands on it! Thank you very, very, very much!

This is my Moms favorite Christmas Carol. Saw it for the first time last year (when she finally found it on Blu Ray, could never find it on DVD). The songs get stuck in your head and make you smile.

Amazed at the quality of this remaster of an underrated classic. This was a movie I grew up watching every year around Christmas time, and now to enjoy it on Blu Ray is going to be a great time.

I love this movie. I only had the VCR version, and you cannot find the movie on any of the movie channels.

Updated to fit 16:9 aspect ratio large screen tv. Better video and sound quality than our DVD copy.

I purchased this because this version has all of the great music! Can't stop singing the "Thank you very much" song!

One of the best version ever. The song thanking Scrooge for dying is my all time favorite can't help but sing along.
