I purchased this to replace a failing hard drive. My desktop now boots up much quicker and programs load quite a bit faster too. If anyone is in the market for a new hard drive / hybrid drive, I definitely recommend this one!

I love this drive. 2 Terabytes of storage for my primary HD means that I will never run out of gaming space, my primary reason for buying this. This installs just like your standard HD, with the exception of one thing...You have to go into the Disk Manager and create a partition on the drive, otherwise it will not show up as a drive. This can be tricky for people wanting to swap it out with their main OS HD. I had to plug it in, create a partition, and then swap it out with my old HD to get it working. It's not too big of an issue if you know what you're doing (it's not that difficult), but if you're a green thumb in computers, I could see the frustration. Aside from that hiccup that I was prepared for (due to doing a bit of research on the drive before I bought it), this drive does everything it should. My windows 7 boot time is about 10 seconds now, games have minimal load times and everything runs smooth and fast. I feel that this drive gave every other aspect of my PC a boost. If you're not looking to drop an arm and a leg on an SSD that will only have a few hundred gigs, this will suit you just fine. It's a definite happy medium and I'm glad it exists.

SSDs are the in thing these days, but there is still a significant premium on the cost per GB. Realistically most of us will not be using the SSD to its full potential, and thats where this drive fits in. You can get *most* of the performance advantages, and still keep the massive storage of traditional drives. While it may not be the ideal solution for on the fly video editing, this drive does a great job of making sure frequently accessed system files etc reside in SSD, while the audio files, documents and photos you save get stored on the rotational disks. All in all, this is the most cost effective way to get SSD performance for most folks

I like the hybrid drive because it gave the overall capacity of a normal HD in the form of an SSD drive. You can get great start up times in your OS and the price is very good for someone looking for an alternative to an actual SSD. I have had no problems at all with this drive and have had it now for 2 months.

I picked this up at my local Best Buy after the HD in my Hp pc decided to die after only having the pc for 2 years. Saw this double storage of what I had before and not super expensive. It was super easy to install and set up and is super quite. Faster than a standard HD but still not as fast as and SSD.

Purchased this for my desktop when my existing hard drives had a corrupted file. This was easy to install and seems to work like a charm. I would recommend to a friend

I haven't noticed the speed of the solid state part of the hybrid drive just because I haven't slowed my computer down with unneeded junk. I has great capacity and still pretty cheap for claiming it has the speed of a solid state drive. A true test would be a fast boot up with a full desktop and start bar and the drive at it's max capacity. Since I don't have that, I don't see any performance drops so it might be a little over priced compared to a normal hard drive.

I did a lot of homework before I bought this. I was replacing an HDD and I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $500-600 for a 2 terabyte one. Enter the hybrid. It's noticeably faster, and for a fraction of the cost of a pure SSD. This is a great deal especially if you can catch it on sale, but if you have HDD drives still, transitioning to this is going to make things a lot easier for you immediately.

solid state speed with wafer drive price, I happened to come across this drive at best buy while looking at there solid state drive selection, they only had one in stock. now I know why. for the price this drive prefoarms well and you get two terabytes of storage on a fast drive that works well for video editing

I am very pleased with this drive. I am so pleased with it I bought another one for my Dad's computer as well. I have had no issues and the drive was a breeze to put in and use. I recommend this drive to anyone who wants more speed, but that is on a budget and cannot afford a SSD.

I needed more space on my ps4 n this was the perfect choice it was simple too use n update my ps4 n it loads games just as fast if not faster. So if ur running out of space on ur ps4 like we all do i would invest the $80 to $100 bucks for it well worth it!!

Boot speed is good but overall speed is not as fast

I bought this hard drive to replace one that had crashed it sounded like it would increase my boot up but to be honest it doesn't seem any faster than my previous hard drive, it was fairly easy to install and has worked pretty flawless so far, hopefully that will remain to be so! I was installing this in an Alienware desktop computer!

Works as advertised, system performance is excellent. Good value for the price I paid.

My computer started crashing at random times and was soon to be toast. I installed this hybrid drive and it has worked like a champ from day one. It boots about 50% faster and seems to access files much quicker. I am completely satisfied with this drive.

I used this hard drive to replace one that failed on my son's PC. It offers a faster start up than regular drives because of the solid state portion of the drive. This gives you speed without the cost of a complete solid state drive. Nice hard drive.
