Needed the hard drive replaced in a refurbished Dell I purchased through Best Buy. Fast and efficient, but again, only a couple months old. Let's see how it endures the test of time. Item was on sale at the time I purchased it, so under the circumstances the value (500GB) for my money was excellent. Thanks Best Buy.

Hard Drive failed on my computer. This product was recommended by my IT support and has been working great . It is not a lot of storage space but I don't save to my computer - just my company network.

Great hard drive upgrade. My computer runs faster and has plenty of space for my files.

This is a good hard drive for normal user's. It has enough space to store Windows and documents. I would not recommend this hard drive for user's who save large files (e.g. movies, videos, music).

I bought this hard drive because I was having problems with my computer starting up. After I installed the drive the problem wasn't corrected. That told me that my hard drive wasn't the problem. When the computer does startup the drive works fine though. Its a quiet hard drive and I did increase the size from 320gb to 500gb. But I'll probably still have to buy another computer.

Always have great luck with these drives. The price is a good value. The drive is fast and was easy to install.

I had to buy this drive to install Windows 8.1 since my other drive had Win 10 and was formatted in an incompatible way. Easy install for even novice computer users. Plug and play.

I was always deleting pictures, videos, music to make room for new ones. Now I don't have to worry about which ones to delete. I can keep them all. I love all the storage I have now.

Bought this HD for my MAC, since it had a hard drive failure. Very easy to install and so far has been great. I was thinking to get SSHD, but a lot more expensive. Not sure if it's worth it. 500GB is more than enough for me, because I have 2 external hard drives.

using it as a start up disk on my old mac G5 tower. works like it should. no issue. good price. just wish bestbuy had a better selection at the store. this was the only internal drive they had really. no where on the packaging does it say the RPM speed which was annoying. I'm just assuming it's 5400rpm. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have just gone to B&H and gotten a 7200rpm drive to work with video. But this one is fine. does the job.

I've bought a few of these in my time and never had one fail on me in an unreasonable amount of time. Nothing lasts forever, but I got my money's worth out of them.

No problems with this drive. Installed quickly. Speed OK and fairly quiet.

So far so good. I got this to replace the one 250 gb that came from the factory. Installation was easy & I now have twice the storage at competitive price.

This drive was a replacement for a larger drive that was making "about to fail noises". Mechanical installation was easy. My cleverly thought out software installation was my downfall. But reinstalling my operating system from scratch and reinstalling some software packages got everything back as it should be. The drive is performing as it should be with no problems.

It didn't show it on the box, but this (Barracuda) drive is 7200 RPM. I did a search online from my phone while in the store to get the specifications, so I am tossing that out here in case you are doing the same and come across this review. Of the selection I had the day I purchased it, the majority on the shelf were 5400 RPM, so that helped to narrow down my search. In case you are wondering what is in the box along with the drive, at least when I purchased it, it came with an interface cable, power adapter, mounting screws, and a CD with software and manual.

Did exactly what i needed to for replacing a bad hard drive in my computer. Seagate is always the best choice.

Bought this as a second drive for my older Dell machine since I'd been adding more virtual machine loads for school and was running low on space. Got it on sale (perfect timing!) so that made it all the better for the purchase. Install instructions were pretty straight forward. Only one area that tripped me up but that was for swapping this drive as the primary over the old one; didn't need that so went straight to the install. Everything lined up - old Dell has plenty of room so that helped - and install went quick. Only thing that gave me grief was my old system BIOS and that was my fault; forgot to turn on that drive port in the BIOS, duh! Moving my old stuff to the new drive was a breeze - performance was great. I install all my new virtual machines on this new drive and I've had no problems with it... Maybe I should have bought a second one for that sale price? :-)
