Gaming console these days have things that need to be downloaded. Upgrading the storage has help to save many games that had helped a lot with this unit.

Storage technology seems to keep getting better and at a lower cost. I remember the days of buying 100-250 GB of external storage at above this price point. Those were also the days where the hard drive was encased in a huge plastic casing and required a separate charging port. I never imagine ever buying a 5TB external hard drive, but technology has changed with better quality content which takes up more storage. I must say, I am pretty impressed with the sleekness of this unit., especially at 5TB. The USB 3.0 connection makes for a very fast data transfer. Backing up my PC was a breeze. It is truly a plug and play device. Plug in the USB cable to your PC, click on the app Seagate application to install the tool kit and click through a few menus as to what you want to back up and how often. I have mine set at a continuous backup and have found that it does not impact my PC performance. The drive is also whisper quiet, which I appreciate. I honestly can't hear it over my PC tower fans. There was one hiccup that occurred during the installation process, which I can't necessarily attribute to the drive itself. After the installation, there was no notification to open up the tool kit application. I actually had to reboot my machine which came up with a blank screen that had me worried for a bit. I unplugged the drive and rebooted my PC and after the boot up plugged the drive back in and was able to launch the tool kit application. To make sure it wasn't a persistent issue, I rebooted my PC a few times with the drive still plugged in and did not encounter the issue again. So may have just been a coincidence. Anyway, everything is working smoothly and quietly. This thing packs plenty of storage that will suffice for most people.

If you're looking for an internal Seagate 2.5" drive - this may be the cheapest option. Open the enclosure and find the internal drive sold for $50 more in most outlets. Pretty sure that also voids the warranty though. The enclosure itself is not impressive, because it uses the wide USB 3.0 plug that everybody hates. Wish it was a USB-C connector because that would be more secure and future-proof.
