Q: will it update existing files and just add the new one or will it make a complete new backup
A: It gives you an option when adding files to see if they are the same or different. I love it
Q: Does this drive have moving parts or is it solid state?
A: Spinning hard drive inside. Five TB solid state drive would be MUCH more expensive.
Q: Is this hard drive compatible with mac & windows ?
A: Yes it has folders for both applications
Q: Can it be used to back up multiple devices at the same time?
A: I can't think of a way to directly backup multiple devices at the same time. You could attach it to a computer and share it over the network, and then multiple devices could back up to it.
Q: Does this have its own power supply?
A: It comes with a USB cord should get power from whatever you plug into
A: No, it is Not. SSDs cost way more than this one.
Q: Does this drive work for the playstation 4?
A: Yes. It does. I just installed STHP5000600 model and my PS4 it recognize it and format the drive to use it as external storage.
