Had to do a simple reformat to use with my Mac and we hit the ground running. It's quiet also, it doesn't have a loud fan which is nice since its sitting on my desk. For the price I don't think you can beat it. Wish it had more connection options.

It has a great speed. I use it as my main storage for my photo and document library + I use it to backup my mac though time machine
