I take a lot of pictures for work. This hard drive allows me to keep all my photos on a drive that is so small it fits in my laptop bag. Easy to use, great little drive!!

Seagate is a very reliable brand. I really depend on my Seagate External Hard Drive. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing an external hard drive.

I got this drive to replace an older external drive that was somewhat noisy after years of use. I wanted something faster and quieter and this drive has been perfect. The time it takes loading samples for music recording is noticeable. If I had to guess I'd say the time has been cut in half or better. The drive is very quiet also which suits my needs perfectly. I don't have any 3.0 usb ports on my computer so I can't speak to that but I would guess the drive is even faster on 3.0 ports. So far I'm very happy with this drive.

If your looking for a dependable high capacity drive then look no further. This external drive is a breeze to install and schedule back ups.

If you are looking for an inexpensive, well performing external drive, this is a good purchase. After running benchmarks it meets its published specifications. The drive initially was formatted for use with the Windows OS' file systems out of the box, I however formatted to use this drive with my Macbook Pro. I think something the industry is starting to forget, drives fail and large drives fail causing the loss of a tremendous amount of data. In the future, I would like to see more drives allowing options of either more data and or more protection. An enclosure with 4 x 1tb drives and the option of hardware raid configurable as multiple mirrored pairs, or perhaps an option to use three of the drives in a 1tb Raid 5 array and one as a stand alone 1tb drive. Gives me options as the end user to build in some very good data protection. As it stands, with this drive, I would need to purchase three and need a minimum of three usb 3.0 ports in order to software raid five array them or two separate drives in order to perform drive mirroring. All of this aside, this drive is easy to use, does include some diagnostic testing software utilities and a backup utility, though I choose to use the Mac's built in "TimeMachine".

Excellent for more than just backup. Plenty of space for all my photos and pictures. Easy to transfer and use with existing products.

I needed a bigger external hard drive and this was great for the money. I have it plugged into my router and use it with my PC and MAC .

First I had to connect the hdd to my laptop and create the directories I wanted. I then connected this ext hdd to my Linksys WRT 1900-AC usb 3.0 port. I was able to set up the Linksys with the security option where I need to enter a username and password. I can now see the shares I set up on the ext hdd from my kindle, laptops, TV, and etc. It does have a fan that is on all the time and it is noticeable. It is about as loud as when the central air conditioning air flows out of the vents in the room.

Luv seagate, quick to hook up, easy to use, seems very dependable. I have 25 terabytes of seagate in use and no trouble!

Purchase primarily to be an expansion space, not a "back-up" drive, it was easy to install, but doesn't allow easy file folder creation. Compact and sleek design.

Drive works great, lots of storage. Only gave 4* because I have not had it long enough to see how drive life works out. Great price for quality at Best Buy.

A great external hard drive! It is very easy to operate and with 4tb there is plenty of of storage.

I love my Seagate-Backup Plus 4TB External drive. My C-Drive was full and all of my videos, pics and music had to be either deleted or I could not export another one. I bought the Backup Plus external drive to free up my C-Drive and I love it! It holds all of my vid, pics and music and I still have plenty of room on the external drive to add more!

4 TB, quiet, vented on sides and bottom , does have molded feet so you could stack, black gloss plastic finish. Status light, but you almost have to touch unit to know its working. Only ONE USB cable input which comes with unit. No older style connectors like firewire, etc.

Makes it easy to store all your documents and movies. Love the size, easyto store out of the way.

This is the second Seagate External hard drive, that I own. Purchased my first Seagate from Best Buys 6 years ago. It exceeded my expectations: Only limited by its capacity! The unit is easly to hookup and adjusts for my personal needs. Very pleased with Best Buys Associates and their help in selecting my Computer hardware!
