I have had the hard drive for several weeks and have no issues with it. I hooked it in to my xbox one and it started the formatting for it. Within minutes I was downloading games to it! I am well pleased with it!

So far no issues. I've only owned this device for about a month, but it seems to be keeping up with my 100GB per week workflow as a photographer. I am currently using it as overflow external storage for my Mac Mini. I did have to partition the drive to work with my Mac when I first unpacked it, but other than that it has worked great. I am NOT using any of the factory included software to back up as I repartitioned it from the gate. They do make a version for Mac, but I wanted the black case and use Time Machine anyway, so the Seagate software didn't appeal to me anyway.

Easy to hook up and plenty of storage for 5 years worth of scanned documents. We were able to consolidate file cabinets and boxes of paperwork. I chose the 4 terabyte model over the 3 and the 5 because it was a better value considering space vs cost percentage.

I was looking for a way to add a lot of memory to my computer which only has 256 GB SSD. It is out of the way and can hold all the videos and photos that I have taken over the years and gives me a worry free storage solution to backing up my memories!

I am giving this a 4 star rating because I have not set up the storage to my desktop. However this is why I purchased the product. I needed extra computer storage for my computer because quickbooks takes up most of the space on my desktop and causes it to move very slow. I am hoping this extra storage helps with my computer speed.

Found this device to be easy to use and install. It serves my purpose for backing up my hard drive as well as giving me an extra backup of pictures that I've stored on another external hard drive. My only recommendation would be to make the USB connector cord a little longer in order to enable easier hook ups to your hard drive.

Loved this external, not only for its esthetics, but also for the fast write speeds and ease of use. It sits very securely on the table top or any flat surface you place it. The speeds and online sharing is very useful and easy to set up as well!

My wife got me this 4 TB external drive for Christmas to be used with my Mac. The capacity is much larger than I need but so far it works as advertised. I have already put a lot of data on this drive and it still has 3.99 TB remaining. The only drawback is the constant hum it produces. At first it bothered me but now I'm used to it.

My Seagate external hard drives help me keep my files organized and safe! They are so easy to use - just connect them and you're ready to go! They are reliable, too! I won't buy any other brand! Seagate is the best!

i bought this for my son for his birthday because he wanted an external device for his Xbox One. This works perfectly even though I wish we could back up more than just one type of data with it. Best Buy had the best price at the time too.

Decent solid drive for backup/ Plug in and go. On par with other backup products. Quiet enough and access time is fine for most needs. Usb throughput at about 90mp/sec pretty comparable to the Seagate or HGSt products I also have

I bought 2 of these drives after doing some investigation. They are great for back ups which is what I use them for. I've used Seagate external drives for photo and misc back ups and never had a problem with them,.

External HD...Seagate. WD...two best. I chose Seagate because I liked it's functionality and setup. Now I have 4...2 Seagate and 2 WD. Seagate is very easy to use and will do exactly what you need it to do!

I bought it to back up system file on my home laptop. Plugged it in and let my back-up software do it's thing. It has a low profile and barely visible, if that is a concern. I will be purchasing another for my wife PC.

I am a photographer and I purchased the external hard drive to store my pictures. Took the load off my computer hard drive. Very happy with the end results.

I got this to go with my Xbox One. It is great to have more space. It is fast and easy to use.

This item is good. Cheaper then the one Apple sells. Only issue I have with it is that I have to put games back on my desktop to play them due to some communication error my iMac has with this. Might have been worth it to just buy the apple one. Lol

The Seagate backup system is easier to use than the one I had before. I am very happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone who wants to back up their system externally.

Does everything I expected it to. The backup software could be a bit more user friendly and have more options (like let you backup a network drive) but overall pretty awesome for the price.
