I have quite a few Seagate Drives -- 1 TB, 2 TB, 3 TB and this one -- the 4 TB. The 1 TB is a portable and works fine, but the 2 & 3 TB drives both failed and are sitting in the garage. This one, however works just great and it has taken me a long time to exhaust its capabilities. I do not use any of the software that came with it, but it works well with the Mac's Time Machine (and I had to format it for MAC). It also works with the PC. It is not bulky or unattractive, but since I have under 500 GB left, I will have to replace it soon and I will have to do some research to find out what is available these days, storage-wise. Some of the earlier models had a Firewire connection, but this one only had a USB out of the box and it is not particularly fast, nor particularly slow. Other than the dwindling space, which is not the fault of Seagate, I have had no problems with it.

Use this for all you storeage and get all that clatter off your computer and it will work so much faster and all your file are safe and sound on your seagate external storage!!!!!!!

We needed something to store our music, pictures, and movies on so it did not bog down our computer. This external hard drive is 4TB and will give us all the room we need.

4TB is a lot of space. Works great so far. I've had external hard drives fail in the past, but I haven't had this one long enough to compare the longevity of it.

I bought this a month ago and haven't had any issues so far. I like the design of this external better since it can't fall over like most of its competitors.

I went back 1 month later and bought a 2nd one. Works great with both windows and mac machines. Fast and silent. I trust my family photos and videos to it.

I purchased this item for a christmas present for my niece. it works great. It does what it says its suppose to do. It saves info. easy to hook up.

Overall for the price I paid I am not complaining. Yes I wish it was faster. But size of drive vs a little slow, well size of drive won out. And like I said for the price I paid, no overall major complaints.

Works great. Stores a lot of pictures. I use this to store pics off my old iPhone. I didn't want to transfer them to the new one and take up space.

Great for pc system backups and saving of pictures. Love the helpful applications that come with the drive to help set up the backing of my pc.

I bought it to use as a backup storage for my Mac. I would highly recommend this drive to anyone looking for a large capacity backup storage drive.

As a senior I had some difficulty using this in the beginning. But after I got the hang of it I love it! Now I know all my photos are safe and sound.

I have two of these devices, one hooked to my mac for "Time Machine" backup app and the other for a PC using the built-in Seagate backup app. I wanted to keep the two machines entirely separated. I particularly like the built-in app for the PC, as it lets the user specify how often to backup. Small and compact and unobtrusive on the desk top.

I hooked this up to my Linksys 19000ACS router and I am able to back up Files from connected computers easily, .. The Router showed an error but connect/map the drive normally .. all is well

This drive installed in just seconds. No techiness needed. Just appears as drive and easy to transfer very large video editing files.

I switched over to Seagate backup drives two years ago at the recommendation of a Mac service provider and have not been disappointed.

I like the sleek design, but it is not portable it might be a little fragile. It is a large 4 TB and it is pretty fast transfer.

Great portable drive with plenty of holes for air flow. I love this slim design because it easily fits into my computer bag. Comes with software that makes syncing easy and effortless. The large size is great for all of our files. The low cost of this drive made it perfect for me

The Seagate Backup Plus works flawlessly. I am extremely happy with the performance of this drive in archiving my media files.

Seagate Backup Plus is very easy to set up and in general user friendly. My 2nd one and works as it is designed to. Very satisfied.
