Great price / value, works across platforms!

This drive works across both PC and MAC platforms right out of the box, no formatting required. Very easy to share files. Like that it has native USB 3 connection, and cable is included.

Not the worst, not the best

Only has USB 3.0, no other connections. Drive is not very fast and somewhat on the loud side when spinning up/down. It does what its supposed to for storage. Would not use this drive for files that need constant access.

Its a great unit despite its software woes

Its all garbage, especially if you own a Mac. This HD has done what I want t to so far, it backed up my iMac so I could swap out its Hard Drive and put it back as it was. It did that. True test in HD's is how long before they fail. Too early to tell.

Large storage for the price

It was on clearance, so the price was good for the storage size (4TB). I use it to back up my Mac & additional storage for movies. Installation was easy, except it would not let me set up a separate storage file until I had created a back up storage file (and backed everything up). It is a very quite drive. I never even know when it is running.

It was easy to set up and should be more than I need. Overkill is always recommended when it comes to computers - especially when backing up documents and photos
