This is a great Hard Drive with great capacity for backups, price is also very good and is fast as it is usb 3.0 I haven't use the software that comes with it though

Easy connection, tons of storage space, goes into sleep mode seamlessly pretty quite and the size is not bad - The price for the drive was really good for the storage size.

Lots of storage to back up my four older 2tb drives, less to plug in as well.

This drive was great for moving all 2tb of my family videos to for safe keeping. As always you should still back up your important files to multiple locations but this drive is great and fast for being one of those locations and with 5tb of space there is plenty of space to spare.

Thanks to overly exuberant parent videos, I need these terabytes to backup the data from my last three desktop computers. I get them in pairs and run a simple batch file every time I swap the disk with its twin from off-site storage. There is no reason to lose data any more!

I bought this external hard drive just to download games for my xbox 1. It has plenty of space to store games. Only bad thing is you cant partition it as xbox wont let you. So not an ISSUE with hard drive, i will definitely be buying 2 more of these

I replaced my WD external backup which was making strange noises. The Seagate is sleek and works really well. I wish it came ready to go for Mac's however. I first needed to delete everything that was originally on the hard drive before it would work with my Time Machine backup process.

I bought this when i purchased my new laptop for my Mobile DJ business. I was constantly buying new hard drives, as I kept filling them. I have all my music, and karaoke files on this one drive, with plenty of room left over. Shouldn't have to buy one for awhile. LOl

For the price and size of the drive, this works great. Wasn't really interested in the backup software but it does the job great and simple. The speed of the drive is excellent as I use it for my media streaming of HD content and it never buffers. Highly recommended.

So far this has been a good drive. Been in operation for about two months now with now problems. Did not use packaged software, re-formatted and use a standard drive. My only complaint is that there is no power button. Seems crazy that I have to unplug it to power it down. As this is an archival drive it only needs power when transferring to or copying from.

I move large volumes of data to disk for delivery to customers so as the price per GB on newer, larger drives decrease, I step up to the higher capacities. This is my first purchase of the Seagate 5TB external drives and they are noticeably slower for my purposes, but for the average home user looking to store video, music, or pics, you most likely won't notice.

This will be my fourth Seagate external hard drive and all four still work great! I gave up on other brands after difficult menus and dependablity issues. They have very reliable for the video production I do so no reason to fix something that is not broken.

I got this to backup my laptop so that when I get my desktop in a few weeks i can just plug it in and transfer it all to it. I have the slim for my Xbox One so I would say I enjoy Seagate's products.

This 5TB hard drive is a lot of bang for the buck. It performs well and is stable and reliable. I back up large amounts of data and this is the only drive I use. I have 4 or them now and am very happy with this hard drive and the Best Buy price on them.

This is my third Seagate backup drive that I purchase this year. It's not because they failed, quite the contrary, it's because they work. I have them on my DVR, desktops & laptops. I tried other brands with dismal results. I only trust Seagate!

We got tired of playing and storing 3 "tubs" of CD's. So we purchased this external hard drive to download all of our music onto. So far our efforts have been very successful and we can access our music selection at any time via our Sonos system.

I've had this external drive for a little over 2 months. It's working great and, for the price, can't be beat. I wanted a change from WD drives and this fit the need. Planning on another soon.

Not too big to cause significant speed issues. Looks nice on a desk although feels a bit cheap for the money. No heating issue so far, use this for backing up all my devices and as a media library so it's on all the time, no issues so far.
