It hooked up way easily to my Xbox one. It was the best option to use. I had heard that an external hard drive can only be up to 2tb, to work with the Xbox One, but that was not accurate information.

I have another Seagate external drive and it has performed flawlessly. I ran out of space and decided to get another larger one and Seagate is the only one that I would buy based on past experience.

Walked into the store and expected to spend $175 for a 1Tb HD and spent $150 for a 5Tb Hd. Sometimes it pays to walk in to the store. Setup was fast and easy. Will keep you posted on the quality.

This 5 tb external drive was a great buy. I have been able to transfer all of my new business and old business tax, and marketing files to this drive without making a dent in the total capacity.

This drive does exactly what it's supposed to do. I've used it on the windows 7 and 8.1 system without issue. It's fast and so far reliable. Drivers are automatically detected by the above systems.

Hard drive was easy to set up and is very fast. The drive is very small compared to older models and sits out of sight on my desk top. Would definitely recommend purchasing this external hard drive.

Snagged this baby on sale and it's large enough and fast enough to keep my MacBook Pro, HP Notebook, Lenovo Notebook, iPhone, and iPad backed up, including a back up of my 2TB DJ music collection.

I got this as an external for my xbox, and it's great. Same read time as the xbox internal. Lots of space!

I have bought two of these, 1 for our family router (USB3) and 1 attached to a Windows 10 PC. Both function well, are fast, quiet and what's best offer a ton of storage/back-up options. Easy to install - virtually plug n play and product registration is literally behind the scenes. Lots of space for a low price point - All in all, would buy them again. Only thing I can't comment on at present is durability as both are less than 2 months old.

I would recommend this drive to all who are looking for a cost effective large drive. At 5 TB, this drive is a great addition to my home server. Good place to keep all the music and movies.

Absolutely love the extra space this hard drive provides. I was a bit concerned buying this after hearing many complaints about overheating. I even connected a small fan I had laying around and put it under the drive to make sure it doesn't overheat however it doesn't really seem necessary. The fan I have connected isn't really in the way so I have no plans to take the hard drive off of it but even without the little bit of cooling that it provides I doubt there is anything to worry about with this drive. There was also a concern that this drive would be slower for me than my other ones which I'm happy turned out to be wrong, I had no trouble getting this drive to transfer at a minimum of 130mb/s on regular files. I'm very happy to have a large amount of external storage now, it allows me to back up all of my data and take it with me on the go if I need to leave for a trip. At the time of this review I've only had this drive going on 10 days now, I will update it if anything happens but I don't expect anything to happen given that this is a mass backup drive that I only plan to hit a handful of times a day backing up a couple gbs here and there. It should also be noted I bought this drive on prime day for $199.99 well under the normal $224.99 asking price. A friend of mine also bought this drive on my recommendation and he's been quite pleased with it. He has actually had his for a couple months now with no problems. I plan to keep up with him on the condition of his drive since he has not only had it longer but uses it as his main OS drive so that gives me two drives to reference for this review.

5tb storage for this price , what a deal . I got this for my Xbox one and now I can download anything without worry about storage capacity .

I bought this drive to replace an aging 1.5tb drive. The price is amazing considering its 5tb. I may buy more to supplement my other drives.

Unlike other storage data, this system does not crash, I would recommend purchasing the geek squad product replacement, those systems tend to break and fully replacing it for $20 is great.

So far I have been very happy with the Seagate external hard drive. Software (dashboard) downloaded just fine and files transfer pretty fast with the USB 3.0 No complaints or issues thus far

It was easy to install, you have a choice of how often you want to back up, if you do not wish for continuous back up. The unit stores easily out of the way. It seems to be working great.

I bought this to add to my network drive on which I store all of our music & movies. Works great and bought on Black Friday for a great price.

Bought this with the intention of moving everything off my pc to my external drive. I wanted something that was large enough for years to come. This hard drive has worked great. I have it set up to back up to the cloud in case something goes wrong but so far, so good.

I'm not very tech savvy but this product is pretty straightforward to use I want to connect it to my airport time capsule but for some reason one computer can access it but another cannot. Idk I think it's user error, but it does what it's supposed to do, I guess

I purchased this to periodically clone my iMac HD and store it away from my house. It's an attractive product that works perfectly for me. I plan to buy another when it is on sale again.
