So easy to use, just plug in and start transferring files. Ir you can run the included software for automated backups I think. All in all a great purchase, one I will be duplicating.

Had plenty of seagate hard drives and only one have I had issues with! This is definitely not the one! Works great and Seagate even offers a driver to allow write access for Mac!

I got this for my xbox one and it has more than enough storage space for everthing on my system

I bought this drive to back up a lot of my work which includes 4K video files. I needed a drive that could transfer somewhat quickly and be realiabe. I have another seagate external drive that is almost full and have never had problems with it. About 4 years to this day. I would highly recommmed this drive to anyone who needs to backup any type of files. I now use it as a time machine backup for my iMac.

Needed an external to move 1TB worth of games too to free up space on my 2TB hard drive. This drive is great, easy to use and I was able to create windows junction links for my steam titles, no slow downs while processing game information like some other externals. Also matches my Alpha console with the shiny finish and compact size.

I have had serious problems with two previous hard drives, freezing up and losing all the data. On this one, so far, so good, and so I am hopeful that I have finally found a good one.

I'm using this drive to backup two computers on my network, and the need for a large hard drive required one to be at least 4TB or more. This one fit the bill nicely and works well.

Finally, a USB hard drive that will hold a reasonable number of backups and still have room to spare! Just plug it in and point Acronis to it and it does all the rest of the work.

This is a great way to expand your Xbox storage. It worked almost perfectly...the only issue I've noted was that after turning the console off and hearing the drive power off I'd come in later or the next day and find the drive back on even though the console is still off. After forum crawling the answer appears to be that some USB external drive power management firmware(I believe that's the proper term) is not going to function perfectly with the Xbox one USB power management...ie, and this was from a programmer that wrote the code for Xbox, they did the best they could to include as many USB drives. Bottom line--sometimes the drives going to get confused with the power coming from the Xbox USB port (they supply power when it's in standby)and power the drive back up. Anyway, 5TB of game storage at a great price and it's at least as fast as the original drive it came with. It also has the same finish as my black Xbox one, so it looks good next to it.

I've owned one for 4 months now, it 's fast about 180MB's. It has been very reliable and I use it a lot. It comes with backup software there's better out there but it is usable.

The Seagate backup and desktop 5TB hard drive was very easy to install and was up and running in just a few minutes. So far so good running smoothly and have no problems.

Seagate and WD are 2 of the best HD OEM manufacturers and have been around for a long time. This model has a pretty fast read/write time. It is plug and play so no software or drivers to install with Windows 7/8/8.1. It also has a built in power sensor (be careful, some do not) so you can leave it plugged into a desktop and it will power down and not spin if you are not using it. A bargain for the price. It pays to save.

SInce the Portable drive Fail i switched it with this drive and have had absolutely no issues works like a charm and is great

I have been housing multimedia files for my home and it has been able to keep up with the demand of our house hold. I recommend this for any backup or secondary storage.

if you are like me and hoard pictures and music, this is for you. great to just store and forget. Seagate is a great brand and *knocks on wood* haven't had a failure yet.

Super fast USB3.0 and backwards compatible with USB 2.0. I used it for my Mac for all my iTunes content before buying another one for my XBox 1. Great external hard drive!
