It’s going good. Syncs quick. The additional usb connections let me use it like a hub! SWAG ON AND ITS BLACK

it takes too long to boot and has a pop up window on each boot that I do not like nor do I want to see. It makes noise for at least 5 minutes when it boots.

This external Hard Drive is Huge and for the same price as smaller drives. I am using it for Mac TimeMachine and then additional file storage. Set up was flawless.

Between music I make and pictures I take, my 1 and 2 gb harddrives were full and I was almost to the point of deleting things. Well, that's not a concern anymore.

I previously bought a 3 TB Seagate backup hub which worked great but run out of space and now bought a 8 TB which gives more than enough memory, works great!

I have a couple of WD hard drives and this is my first seagate... im not very happy with the excess noise this one makes while it is being used.

I can follow instruction. The instructions accompanying this were known to be deficient (according to previous very helpful reviews), so I prepared myself by finding instructions to make this work with my iMac and Windows PCs. I followed instructions and still don't know if it is working. I'm able to save, but obviously I need more help (or confidence?) to proceed. I will be calling customer support. As of right now, I would probably not recommend to someone with a Mac, but that may change following a call to customer support.

I don't really trust any hard drive these days after having drives from all major manufacturers fail on me, but this makes for a nice, solid hard drive for use in backups.

Lots of storage cheap. The cloud software that comes with it leaves a bit to be desired. Get choice for MAC users.

USB 3 helps with making external storage speed. Front ports work as pass through for flash drives or other external storage!

Easy to set up. I was able to transfer all of my data from my 2 previous back up drives and I have plenty of room to spare.
