As my header states, I use this as an external storage drive for my Xbox One. I can proudly say that this product works as advertised. Literally plugged it into my Xbox One fresh out of the box and after some automatic configurations on my Xbox One it went swimmingly. Definitely recommend this hard drive for storage on your Xbox One.

When I saw the CoD Black Ops 3 1 TB PS4 I was really tempted to buy it. But instead I waited for black friday for the price of this hard drive to drop to $69.99 and purchased this for way less than the $429 price on the 1 TB system. It was a great purchase.

This product was great and I got it for a pretty good deal. I spent around 80 bucks for it. I have a HP Spectre and it only has 256 GB SSD but with this portable hard drive i am able to expand my memory with ease on my laptop. Who needs to buy a laptop with a lot of moving parts just settle for a good hard drive.

I was looking for another back up drive and found this one on sale. Wow--2TB storage in such a small package. I use it stand alone for backing up my MacBook Pro and also in conjunction with my 2TB Time Capsule. It mirrors the Time Capsule and I also have other directories on it for business stuff as well as my photography library. It is definitely an improvement over the much larger and smaller WD external drives. My MacBook is only USB II but it is fast enough and I like the fact I don't need an external power cord. The supplied USB cord is also USB III and will be nice if and when I get another MacBook. The only drawback is that in order to make it work with Time Capsule, I had to lose PC compatibility. Oh, well, I don't plan on going back to PC anytime soon and I have the WD drives for backing up the old PC's...and I can always transfer to a Travel/Thumb drive then to a PC. Once I get up to speed with LightRoom it will be nice to have this drive plugged to create a backup during import. Since my MacBook only has 2 USB jacks, I sometimes use a USB dongle hub and it works fine with that as well. I think this drive will also work faster with a FireWire 800 cord. I need to look into that.

Simple project to save money on upgrading your PS4 HDD, all you do is take drive out of case with flat head screw driver and remove aluminum type foil, and disconnect USB connector. You will have a barebones drive that is the same that cost $50 less without case!!!

I bought this and to swap out my PS4 Pro's hard drive to upgrade it from 1tb to 2tb. This hard drive is the perfect size if you want to upgrade your PS4's storage and by far way cheaper than going out and buying a hard drive without its casing. However you terminate your warranty by opening the enclosure.

The Seagate Backup Plus is exactly what we needed to backup our system and data, particularly photos. It is easy to use and comes with a backup program, but I just used Windows. It is so small it would be great as a portable, but we keep it in our small safe.

What's really remarkable about this product is the drive at its heart: the Spinpoint M9T 2TB, the world's first 2TB drive that can fit into a laptop drive bay. I originally bought my two because a vendor Best Buy price-matches was having a sale, and was at a price lower than what I expect the retail-box bare drives to go for when they hit shelves around 3rd Quarter. One I've stripped and installed into my laptop's second HDD slot (WARNING: this does void the warranty on the drive); the other is still as it came out of the box, working just as well as the WD Passport 2TB's alongside it but only taking half the space. This drive has officially become my new standard for external storage--while Seagate does offer a 4TB drive, it's basically two of these in a RAID array and I'm not a fan of RAID because of the "if one drive dies, all in the array are lost" factor. WILL be buying more of these!

Needed/wanted another portable HD for photo folders. Easy to set up, I skip the auto back up feature and simply use it as an additional storage unit for photos and docs. Good quality seemingly, and the price was right with many good reviews both here on BB and on the Net reviews in general.

Very slim, portable and lightweight! Love it! Would definatly recommend to a friend! Make sure you either buy a case for it or be very gentle. If you're too rough with the device you might damage the internal memory and possibly lose data so be carful!!! Other than that a great product!

I was looking for an external drive to back up computer files and I chose this one because of my past experiences with Seagate drives. I have problems with drives from other manufacturers in the past but I have not had a problem with Seagates and this drive was everything that I expected at a good price.

I needed an external hard-drive bcuz my wife had so many selfies on her iPhone 6 that ALL the memory/storage was gone. It was cumbersome at first to transfer the photos from her iPhone to my MacBook then to the Seagate hard-drive. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple Support before we got it right...I hope. However, the amount of storage is great compared to the price, and I don't hafta mess with iCloud anymore, so I'm happy I bought it.

My Content drive on my macbook pro has been getting full for a little over a month and I needed a way to get more storage without having to lug around a external hard drive everywhere. last november seagate unveiled the first 9.5mm 2 TB 2.5 inch hard drive. unfortunately the only way to get that drive is to buy this external drive and rip the internal drive out of the enclosure. DISCLAIMER, removing the bare drive voids all warranties. after using the drive normally for a week to make sure it wasn't going to fail on me, I ripped the drive and installed it into my Macbook. The computer is now reporting 2 TB of storage and has been running without a problem. The only con i have of the drive is that its not the fastest drive in the world. this is not really an issue as my apps and OS are on a SSD so this drive is only used for media storage and so on. average drive speeds are in the 80-90MB/S range. this is fairly quick for a 5400 rpm drive but far lower than a 7200 and SSD. I would highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for more storage that is reliable and very portable.

I bought this hard drive to use with my Xbox One. I was running low on free space and needed additional storage for games/updates. It has been working just fine so far! I opted for the 2TB so that I won't have to worry about running out of free space for a long time. I definitely recommend this product to anyone needing more storage. There is no need to spend more money on the green, Xbox One branded hard drive. It's the exact same, only it comes pre-formatted to work with the Xbox One. Your Xbox One will automatically format any hard drive when you plug it in anyway.

I purchased this hard drive to increase the storage space of my Xbox one (500gb) and its been working great for over a year now. It’s basically the same thing as the Xbox One edition they sell, but ten dollars cheaper and not green. I definitely recommend it.

It's a portable hard drive. There's not much to say about it. It does what it's supposed to do. It's got a great physical size. Perfect for portability. Great price on it too. I bought it because I needed another one, and I've had good luck with Seagate drives in the past.

This is my 2nd Seagate 2gb external hard drive from Best Buy! I've found the prices are pretty good and when on sale, even better! Seagate's are easy to use and have had no problems! Just plug in USB and download! Very simple to use! Highly recommend!

A decent backup option for your personal files. I have a MacBook with SSD and I needed a secondary storage for the files I don't use very often. With my DSLR camera, I produce tens of GBs of files every month. Google Drive or other cloud providers are good for few GBs of storage and for sharing but if you are looking to safely store hundreds of GBs of files and don't really intend to share it's an excellent purchase. It's plug and play device for both Windows and Mac but you can't use it on both OS simultaneously because of file system formatting limitations. Good news is they've bundled NTFS software for Mac to overcome this limitation. If you want to be little adventurous and you have a WiFi router which supports network storage you can easily configure a shared network drive within your house to save and access files from this external drive using multiple devices.

After reviewing various external HD's I found the Seagate had more storage and a lower price than other choices. I purchased this at the Thousand Oaks store, it wasn't in stock but picked it up with in 2 days, they always give excellent service.
