The backups it performs are not password protected, and it appears that if anyone were to take it, all the saved files on my computer would be available to them without any encription or password protection. This is important to me, because I've had a breakin before, and they grabbed everything small and electronic....

Seagate drives are great

I love using Seagate drives because of the 7 year warranty, which is absolutely unheard of by other hard drive producers. Haven't had a problem with them yet, while Western Digital, Lacie and G-tech have all let me down at some point.
